MOD EDIT: Let's discuss the images. Let's talk about what we like / dislike and how to improve them.

hey guys,
yesterday i discovered that there are starcraft2 battle.net player profiles accessible via the new starcraft website (random example: http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/49404/1/). since then i have been working on a signature generation service which will read your profile stats.
as there is no way (that i know of) at this time to get from your realm, name and character id to the battle.net profile id, you have to provide it yourself.
how to get your profile url? just go to http://beta-us.battle.net/sc2/en/ for US or http://beta-eu.battle.net/sc2/en/ for EU and sign in. if you click on your avatar or name on the top right side, you have found your profile url.
i'd appreciate any type of bug reports, feedback and feature requests.
of course, the link: starcraft 2 signature generator
example signature:
Wow thanks man, though a little on the "HEY LOOK AT ME" side, just needs to be like 1/2 the size : )
i'm already working on daily automatic updates
Shame TL doesn't allow image sigs...
Wayyyyy too big. It should just have race, league, rank, and points. I don't think many forums would allow such a huge sig.
Any way to change what league it picks stats from? It automatically picked my 2v2 since I'm better ranked there than in 1v1. Would still like to have 1v1 show though.
Yeah, I would use it if it was a thin banner size. Otherwise neat stuff. It would make a good overlay for someone streaming lol.
Great job dude!
Now let's see if it works...
EDIT: Ok, doesn't seem to work using it as a "Your quote" here on TL, so you'll have to paste it each time yourself... Or am I missing something?
Otherwise it works great. Again, great job! ^_^
get your own starcraft 2 signature at sc2sig.com
Didn't they have one of these for WoW that pulled your info off the armory and kept an updated link?
I agree, it's too big. It should probably be 400 x 60-100.
It should also have flags instead of the text US or EU etc.
size: of course there will be different sizes. i just wanted to start somewhere and show what information i can get base from the standard profile
updates: yes, there will be daily updates. you won't have to change any link, the url of the signature will stay the same. i'll keep you posted when they are active
"what league it picks stats from": if checks from 1v1 downwards for the highest ranking. i can add a setting to override this logic, so you could force a league flags for region: of course, will be done i'd also like to use the win/loose icons from the match history
Yay, will be awesome with the new auto update
and also could be really good if it actualy showed the RATING instead of RANKING
Nice work! Looking forward to future changes you make.
@Konsume: i am sorry, but the profile page doesn't contain that information. i'd like to keep this simple so i am not planning to request more than the standard profile page for now.
Cool
ah, as i see your signature Teacup: i wasn't able to find the icon for you random players in a size that is big enough.. so if anyone has that icon or can point me to it, it would be a great help
It looks great, it is pretty big though. I'm assuming career winrate is for all 1v1,2v2,...?
nice feature. hope we get more background options in the future.
Leidenschafft : Would it be possible to get in a smaller format? so it's actualy usable...
right now with only this post I feel like images are being spammed
hahaha
this size would be nice
P.S. TeaCup is an acheivement master
@theDragoon: yes, career winrate covers all your games
haha now when someone asks for rank you can just post this thing. This is really cool actually
It would be nice if it had overall rank too and the division you are in
swwwwwwweeeeeeeeetttttttt
awesome, but yeah way too big
They could most def improve this by sliding achievement / US(EU) over and moving sc2sig.com underneith the information would make it alot nicer
Cool! I see this being a useful tool for the practice partner thread also as we don't have to continuously go back and update it.

Maybe this would be useful for the 'Practice Partner' thread ?
it's really nice, the only flaw i can see as of now is, like mentioned before, the size, but i guess thats a small problem ! thanks very much for providing this, keep the good work up !
there was a bug where profile urls in other languages than /en/ couldn't be parsed which is now fixed!
that rocks !!! But maybe it's a bit too big yeah. Otherwise, great job
I really think this needs your ELO rank for a complete summary of your stats. Being 1st in diamond or 26th really has no meaning if you don't either know the division or ELO. Looking up divisions seems like a pain so just stick ELO on there.
really nice work, very much appreciated, even tho i dont like those "stat signatures" in general.
anyway thumbs up keep up the good work

Nice idea, but they are far too big and bulky. Like others have suggested, making it a thin banner with the user icon, name, race (icon), league (icon), region (icon) and maybe achievement scores. No need for a % winrate, wins/losses/etc on there, it just makes it bulky.
Needs ELO. Remove career winrate because customs mean nothing. make it half as small.
Smaller banner would be nice, also if it's possible to also show the bracket name.
please, to keep this thread alive, stop posting just images here and help me improve the service by providing any feedback
as the mods stated in the first post (and in some other posts), if this is getting "just another show-off thread", it won't live long
if there are specific questions to just your signature, a normal link to it should suffice
The above example is a size I would prefer more. The sc2sig.com logo can be more discreet (aligned more so in the corner) --the very logo itself is a reference to the site, after all. What you have so far is pretty good, and some experimentation with different fonts and sizes won't hurt either. Forcing to display a certain league seems like a good idea, as I doubt there will be many people interested in displaying 3v3 and 4v4 stats, should they play those.
As for the fonts/layout, you are free to arrange them as you like, but looking to imitate how the bnet profile page displays may be good as well--achievements and name tucked neatly together, with the server region somewhere to the side. The name and server will be pretty obvious, so those don't need to be very big.
I would take out the avatar and most of the symbols. Can you make it rly thing and just have text that say your stats and league?

I didn't even notice it was smaller, maybe someone with sufficient photoshop skill's could make the icon bigger for you ? Anyways it would be cool to have national flag there along with the other info if it is possible.
I'd suggest that it include your division name and your rating.

Looks good great work man !
reduce size and make sc2sig.com something blueish instead of the white. play around with the stats layout ,could be a bit better but cant put the finger on it.
other then that nice job :>
/edit ah ya. points are missing. more important then all the other stats imho
WOW THIS IS UN FUCKING BELIEVABLY SEXY!!! "great find"
whoa neat stuff. Definitely should be smaller and i think your rank should be made more obvious(much thicker font, and maybe separated. Would be nice to have division name as well. Thanks for dedicating some time to do this, but yeah smaller please, or else sigs are gonna clog too much like on this thread.
Also, since blizz doesnt include this, maybe you could team up with that guy that does the global rankings thing and make it so this sig also displays your global rank! :D
Fucked up the id number & it wont let me change back, lol. Well it will be reseted this monday =[
sweet.. this is awesome.. i had to make this post to test how it would work on team liquid.. sounds like a sweet way to sign up for tournaments...

I completely agree, if you want your SC2 stats in your signature(quote) just link to the SC2 beta site or manually type your points in. This forum is like 200 times better because people cannot use annoying image sigs.
The sigs ABSOLUTELY NEED TO HAVE RATING. Rank means nothing. If you are in a division with Idra and Dimaga then you obviously are going to have a worse rank.
I would love to see an alternative version with smaller height size. The current one I feel is a little big to big. Maybe something like 580x80?
Why not make it so that everything is on one line, I made this in about 2.3 seconds:

Can you get this to display 2v2 league as well as 1v1?

Different styles for different needs. Great work so far.
Its way to big, i tried posting it as a sig on a forum,i failed because that forum dosent alow bigger images in the sig than 500x100
i am trying some different sizes, preview for the "line-version":
yes, it contains ELO, has been requested a lot and i will look into it
stats would then be: league (1v1) rank (23.) elo/points (244) winratio (65%)
name Leidenschaft
achievement points (1337)
above the small sc2sig.com url is some place left for the optional character id
what do you think about the size?
Id like a medium one, like 500x100 the small version you posted above is too long to fit into my sig Try making 3 sizes with a round no of pixels (eg 250 , 500, 100 , 64 etc) The most popular website for creating wow sigs makes them 436px × 64px
Thx for the service man, keep up the good work.
i think the signature could use much smaller fonts, since it is just a signature and not a banner ad. A minimalistic version would be great, even smaller than the line version that you are trying out atm.
get your own starcraft 2 signature at sc2sig.com
500x30 "line"-version 2:
(dumped achievement points)
the icon for random seems SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the protoss/terran/zerg icons.
Edit: Nevermind, not on the thinner line style
love the 500x30 line v2 I think the space between the nick and sc2sig.com is so big because you expect some users to have long names id use that version right away, so ... when will it be ready ?
Anyone else who's sc2 website says "No character available?" :/
One line version looks nice but I'd prefer if the flag and name should come before everything else. And I think the words rank, WLR(win loss ratio) or wins and losses should be included since those numbers look really random.
Maybe do it how blizzard does it on their ladder summary page with the 1v1 on top and wins/losses right below. Something like
1v1 - 400 points 20 wins - 9 losses
436x64, "medium" preview:
i like it
@adi1133: exactly. worst case should be WWWWWWWWWWWW which is very, very long... i'll implement the preview versions as soon as i am (and you are) happy with their layout.
Looks nice, just need to add the word rank and maybe rd/th/nd after the number. And something to fill the empty space on the right =p
line v2 and medium version look badass ! nice work Leidenschaft !
Looks pretty awesome!
Very nice, does it auto-update at all?
Edit: and im liking the 436x64 one best by far.
I like how the medium one looks the best, but for some reason the new battle net stuff doesn't think I have a character, so I can't make use of it, haha.
Omg, that last one looks great!
If peoples names are too long, can't you just make it trail off into "..." or something of the kind? I really, really like the 436x64 signature. The only thing on it that I can nitpick is the ranking. 1v1: 23. It seems a bit weird looking. Maybe 1v1: Rank 23?
Really, though. I thoroughly love that last one! Great stuff!
Btw, I don't think you should worry about the empty space. You may end up finding a use for it later and it doesn't hurt to have right now. If you use transparency you can fix any problems with extra space easily, I think.
You are awesome for doing something like this!
=D
Maybe add number of games and the winrate. And yeh, add the rank.
No character available
how do I fix that?
Well, he has the winrate there in the bottom right, haha. You can probably figure out the number of games he's played by applying the winrate to his number of total wins. If he has 50 wins and a 50% winrate then he's played 100 games, for example.
-----
Anyway, some extra feedback!
I own a forum dedicated to Armored Core and I don't allow sig images over 600x150 with a total sig size of 600x200. It just starts taking up too much vertical space. The other thing is that the more someone see's your sig, the less likely they are to want to see it again right away. It starts to become something people ignore looking at once they've recognized it. In other words, they'll just scroll right by it. Smaller sigs tend to be less of a hassle to scroll by, while still being eye-catching. This means people are more likely to spend time actually looking at your sig and not just seeing it as they scroll by. If you think about it a bit, you'll probably realize you've done that before yourself. Haha.
I generally encourage sig sizes of about 500x100 since that doesn't take up much space while still allowing for most kinds of pictures/art. Your best bet would be to go by that 436x64 version and maybe a secondary smaller version that's sized like a "userbar" which is 350x19. It's easy to find examples on Google if you don't know what they look like, haha. Though you probably do. I'd make the userbar version text only with bare essential stats only.
Another thing to keep in mind is that everyone tends to like looking at their own sig, but most people don't like looking at other peoples. So when some people want some stats in their sigs to show, it's likely they rarely ever look at those stats in other peoples sigs. Be careful about adding too much information to these kinds of signature images, but do try to keep them clear and easy to understand.
Definitely keep up the great work! Looking forward to future versions. I definitely know a few people who would appreciate them. (I have 30 SC players on my Armored Core forum of 200 members) Haha. SC is just so popular!
Please don't do this, it will cludder up the forums. If they were WAY smaller ok, but otherwise this is a bad idea

My favorite so far, I prefer having ELO rather than division rank since it would be cumbersome to display the division name, and without it the rank is useless anyways. Also, I like how it doesn't display your identifier number so that random people can't add you out of the blue.
Sweet! Only thing I don't like is the rather large size of the siggie. Maybe make everything smaller, inc. text, and get a different type of portrait? Like a mini-sized zergling. :D

I would modify Wins for W/L with the Wins/Losses. Wouldn't take that much more space, and would be a lot more cool. Plus, you can always write down abbreviations for the names, instead of Winrate, Points, Wins... ex. : W/L, Pts, WR
But that might be because I don't feel like calculating the losses out of the given wins/winrate. Don't know if others will agree with me though!
very very cool!
Only playing diamond players now, but it just won't promote me.
Medium is the best good size and important stats without getting rid of the images; I like the images. I agree with previous poster (wshop) to add W/L instead of only wins.
Edit: although I just relooked at the image and noticed the winrate % which is just as good
I like it the 'line' versions the best. Just need W/L format and ELO if possible, achievement points not really necessary.

i'd probably make one of these if my stats now weren't so pitiful
I like the 436x64.
I think you could move all the supporting stats to one line and make i like 45px tall. The 1 line sigs on TL are close to 30px tall, so you'd have something pretty close that wouldn't be ridiculously intrusive on forum formats (I guess on another forum, since they don't allow pix here )
The medium one is by far the best. I like it quite a bit, and would for sure make one if that was the standard size. Although the line one would be cool for forums, the medium one just looks better.
hey guys check it, I'm terrible
A lot of mixed opinions on favorites, you should consider offering different styles if it's not too much work for your end. The medium and one liner seem to be the favs
Look at my hardcore SC2 stats: + Show Spoiler +
I think this is a pretty cool feature, but there should be an option to choose the size of the image, this one is way too big.
Also they should enable transparency.
The images are much too large. They need to be smaller so that they are not so distracting.
Just added the two new sizes and the league override function to the page
Also added the rating to the signatures, but this does not work 100% yet: Arranged teams where the same ladder contains the same player more than once do not work yet as blizzard is producing invalid xhtml there :[

It seems to default to the single line image instead of the medium size or large size now.

there was noch change to the format selection, could be your browser cache (i added a small note below the generated signature success page - if you overwrite an existing signature, your browser may have an older version in its cache, f5 or strg+f5 should help)

Hmm.. The one I made looks wierd (regardless if i choose default, line, or medium)
This very cool. Once I saw the profiles go up the other day, I figured we would see lots of cool things like this popping up.
Can you implement the settings in the image url and not in the website sql ? (or something mixed like profile url kept in your sql and settings like size rank in url)
I tried using 2 pics in my sig, a 1v1 and a 2v2 , but they both share same url, and the latest chosen settings.
I think a very simplistic version would be good, something the size of 1 line of text, just a simple strip down the bottom that is not too intrusive.
[url=http://sc2sig.com]
Nice!
Really cool! I was hoping for such features to come! GJ Some feedback: The "normal" sig size a bit too big. The other sizes are fine.
Also, the "Random Race" icon needs to be a bit bigger I think.
Edit: Also crying at your tables in the webpage :'( (jk).
really awesome job, shouldnt be that big though, abit smaller like cocosofts image
Maybe make a border on it? to make it look cooler
anyways really awesome i like it!
I really like the changes you've made. The smaller ones are great and I'll use it offsite. Thanks!
@cocosoft: going live just the day after blizzard got the profiles up has its price, at least at the beginning... including the tables ^^ i don't like them either, but they work for now.. i also am searching for the random race icon in a "high enough" quality version as i said some pages ago.
@vol_ what information would that even smaller version contain?

hm, maybe i could add a way to generate different signatures for one account, but i am aiming towards simplicity. i don't want you to register/login (again..) to keep track of x signature versions etc
imho the 98% who just want one signature shouldn't have to bother with more complex stuff to satisfiy the needs of the other 2% who want extra fancy multiple signatures (no offence!).
added this to the to-do list, but has no high priority

get your own starcraft 2 signature at sc2sig.com
Awesome job. I actually read through, what does career winrate mean? Someone said custom games but that MUST be wrong. It wouldn't know your winrate from phase 1, would it?
EDIT: Damn I need to change that gay ass avatar.

i wish ggnet would make a sig generator like this too :D anyhow this was pretty cool stuff, very fancy

wow, region flag would be awesome , Latin america, US, Europe, Asia.
i hope you add the latin america flag, some sort of cool LA sign or something. and for europe it must be something like that also since there isnt a flag for all the europeans countries, norway and many others play in the Europe server, not in the European union server .,

Heh, we need an awesome North American flag to match the EU's flag!
@zTz: thank you and big thanks to everyone for not closing this thread and helping me with invaluable feedback!
@townsend`, jacen and Drakan: the flag represents the region/realm you are playing on (as in EU, US, ..). i don't think that i should add a second flag (for your nation) to the sigs, would be confusing

I'm not really a fan of the URL to the site when you get the bbcode. Seems like a dubious SEO trick especially when the URL is in the image anyway. Imageshack did a similar thing and we had to filter it out on TL since it broke the image resizing option.
@CharlieMurphy: did you see the medium and line formats?
Oh this is so cool! Thanks OP! I'll definitely be checking this thread to see when the daily update thing comes around.
Very good work with these. I like the smaller one a lot.
i just added a database to the site to persist character id and league override settings to prepare the system for automatic updates.
if you had a league override or character id on your signature, you have to generate your signature once again - if not, you don't have to do anything, all other settings have been converted.
btw, some minutes ago the 1000th signature has been created! yay!
it would be nice if we could have image sigs o.o i really really like this idea, i hope it gets somewhere
seconds ago i enabled the automatic updates!
every 10 minutes 50 signatures are getting updated, calculating with 1000 this means that every signature should be updated every ~4 hours
this numbers can and will change, but are active right now
For some reason I can only get the large one to work. The address for the direct link stays the same. No matter what size I try create it always appears as the large one.
This one was created going through the medium option. Any ideas?
EDIT: I think I get it. Can you only have one sig at a time?

Its OK. I didnt realize you can only have one sig at a time. I've never had a sig before. Its all new to me.
Great work by the way. Be nice if we could have the small one on TL so when people post we can see exactly what kind of experience they have.
Wow that's sick! Gonna make one right before beta ends and stick it up on my profile.
How come some peoples medium ones display there points and some dont. For example mine doesn't and UbiNax's does?
ladder points require to parse the ladder page, which sometimes fails. there are special cases which just don't work yet. i am monitoring those and will fix them.
ladder points are skipped if the parser can't get them.

this thing rox !

Seems like the id input needs to be filtered to only allow numbers.

@cocosoft: done
the next round of updates will fix this for all signatures

rank should be bigger, achievement points smaller.

nice! now its smaller and i can use it , the first one was way to big

i just finished the support-section at the bottom of the page with ways to contact me (including a link to this thread!) and things i am looking for, which are:
- random race icon in better quality - background images you'd like to see in the signatures.

the medium one is cool nice dude too bad it came when beta ended everyone will have this by release haha
with the smallest one, can you put the win % in between the rank/points? or inbetween the points/name?
imo that's a rather important stat
Of course, i will update this service on release. I don't know what happens with existing (beta) chars, but i think blizzard will wipe its database again.

more updates: - the top left area is now transparent (default and medium formats) - saving historical data, maybe i can put up some nice graphs showing your league/rank/points progress (no, not in the signature)
btw, i will stop the autoupdating when the beta phase 2 ends, because it wouldn't make any sense.
very sexy

i like the small one - sleek and concise (site URL kind of out of place there though) not a huge fan of the larger banners - too much crammed into a little space
*the random icon could use a facelift

Pretty cool I guess, but as mentioned earlier I'm not surer images load in signatures :/
EDIT: I saw the Mod Edit, so I will say something. I like this idea, and think that something similar could possibly be used on Bnet, so it is easier to check out specific stats like winrate. But the only thing that i would like to see added is winrate per MU. That is all.
Pretty Cool! Even though the beta is down
seems like blizzard took the beta profiles down some minutes ago. autoupdates are off, but i won't delete the existing signatures.
fyi, the signature generator should now be ready for the final profiles
but of course, i cannot be sure 100% until 27th...

hm, does anyone know if there is any "clan" integration for starcraft 2? someone requested the feature to put the clan tag/name on the signature and i'd like to know if that information is available on the profile somewhere or if i'll have to add another input field for it?

sc2sig still not working, all come out profile not found.

I'm not really a fan of the flags. All good for EU which actually has a valid flag, but the US flag doesn't represent North America nor does the Korean flag represent all of Asia.
I probably wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't for all the people asking me why the hell I have a US flag in my sig. :S

Thanks for this, looks great. You're missing the LA flag, though.

hey guys, blizzard updated the profiles and i can now extract the character id information automatically.
i will change the character id input field to a show/don't show select so you don't have to type your id in manually.
what should be the default for this setting?

the issue with US signatures not showing the name correctly is fixed. had also to do with blizzard updating the profile layout. the automatic updating should fix your signature in the next hours.

It would be nice if you could edit the OP to include one example of every size. Right now you have to read a few pages to find all the different sizes.

About the signature updating:
I guess it has to do with browser caching. The filename for the signature image stays the same, so your browser will load an outdated signature image from its cache, instead of reloading the updated image from the server. You will have to hit CTRL-F5 to force a cache refresh, that should do the trick.

But will the others need to refresh their cache for this? If yes then it's pretty useless. But good work anyways, you are good mate.

blizzard updated the eu profile pages some minutes ago and i also updated the signature generator which is again working fine. there may be "some" broken signatures, but you can either manually update them once to "repair" them or just wait for the autoupdate.
also, i will adjust the serversettings that signature images may only be cached for up to 24 hours. will further increase my traffic, but will also help for more up-to-date signatures.
to further explain this: everytime your browser receives an image he is putting it in his browser cache. this is a client-only thing, so it does not affect others the same way it affects you. every time the browser wants to display that same image again he looks in his own cache, and will show you his cached version if he "thinks" that it is up2date. the standard server settings for the "expires at" date are now+2 weeks iirc, but i can and will change that. stay tuned!
Is there a way to get a Canadian flag instead of an american one?
nevermind I am a retard you actually added that recently
Your RANK and wether it's 1v1/2v2/etc needs to displayed more prominently. Bigger font maybe. All others could be displayed in smaller font. Consider removing the winrate. It's always going to hover 50-60% for most people. Uninteresting stat to say the least.
Sorry if this has already been addressed (I only briefly read through this thread), but how are you parsing the race usage? For all team games, I play random. For 1v1s, I play toss. However, since I have played many more team games, my "race" is listed as random. Is there any way you could couple the "force league" with race recognition?
Thanks!

edit: The fonts are fine on the large size actually, they're a bit aliased on the medium one though and look a bit weird (spacing on 188 is uneven in this). Are you using imagemagick to create the images?

I dunno I feel like the info is sort of jumbled, is there any way for it to show your specific division name? Seems like the format could be better so there isn't so much wasted space on the right side of the big ones.
If only you could link this up with facebook and make millions of dollars

just a reminder, please don't just post your generated signature images here as a test, as it is against tl.net rules.
of course, if there is anything wrong with it or you want to something about it regarding the signature generation/placement/etc., it is ok to post it.
@b0lt: Thank you for your feedback. I am using GD to create the images. I don't think i should move the race icon there on the big signature, because very long names do need the full space there.
@Meta: uh, i have the division name available, but it always is a very long name and i don't know where i could possibly put it
Allow user uploaded images, use a site like imageshack and link them trhough your site for added info.
also, make the "sc2sig.com" optional, it feels so much less personal with it on
Actually, make everything customizable, he way it is now its just so generic.

hey guys,
i just finished the small signature version (300x64) and changed the creation steps a little bit. as i said before, you don't have to enter your charid now, but you may still hide it.
right now i am working on some nice graphs showing your history (rank over time, points over time, league over time, ...).. stay tuned this is the main reason i created the profile pages at sc2sig.com. on the new profile pages (you see them after you create a signature) you can also check when your signature has been updated, and even force updates.
if you'd like to see any special graph with historydata on that page, feel free to tell me

I was wondering does the sig automatically update ur score??

Hey guys,
I just finished 1v1 player stats with basic (looking) charts. You can find them on your sc2sig profile, i.e.: http://sc2sig.com/profile/eu/326029/1/LiquidTLO/
The charts contain your last 14 updates/data points. If you create a signature on sc2sig.com, tracking is enabled.
The first chart shows your rank, points and league. Red is your rank, green are your points, blue is the league.
The second chart shows your wins (green), losses (red) and wlr (blue).
Does this make any sense to you? Anything i should change or add?
With more and more popularity, traffic increased a lot in the recent days. You may have noticed that there is not and has not been any single ad on the page since day one, because i don't like "random"-ads (adsense etc) and haven't found any sponsor or partner for sc2sig.com yet.
Because the starcraft 2 community is awesome, i'd like to try a (paypal) donate button, so feel free to send some bucks if you like sc2sig.com If there should be more money than is needed to cover for the sc2sig.com bill, I will sponsor small cups with it.

TL should just cooperate with this site and embed a signature creator on this site

you have to put your character code in step 3 or it will not generate, bottom right box
1. step your battle.net url 2. step design 3. step -> which ladder, which server, what language and your CC 4. step -> profit

Works for me (but only after the third try)

I've tried like 10 times hah.

It seems the only ones working are EU accounts...maybe that's it?

The real question is, will people start using these on the TL forums? or is it going to be considered unnecessary self-promotion?
I still think it would be nice if TL would incorporate something like this into everyone's posts next to their names. It would help avoid the issue of people posting detailed strategy threads when they have never even played 1v1s. Would also be nice to differentiate posters by their leagues.

This will never, ever be implemented on TL.
Even if it were implemented, I'd rather make my own signatures anyway.
Attractive Sig, thumbs up

master league now supported
Are you still working on an automatic update system?
It is actually pretty neat cool.

blizzard doesn't allow identifiers to show anymore i think, so there is no way to get that auto in your Sig anymore

1.3 update needed

Waiting for them to incorporate the new League Icons.
Too bad blizzard removed the losses, this makes the gamercard a lot less interesting Still; I love this card, and I'll keep using it. I look forward to a 1.3 update
Up for any news, ETA ? Is there still anybody working on it ?
Not ranked yet.
Does anyone else think that this is something Blizzard should take responsibility for and make ?

@Plexa : What do you mean exactly ? Images in sigs are hugly (I agree) or would it be too much of a hassle to implement ? Auto-updated rank text sigs would be nice imho.
Have we heard back as to why they haven't been working for a while? I really like the look of these sigs and would really appreciate them to start working again.
Failing that, does anyone have an alternative that DOES work?

Nice Myke! But why force us doing it via Facebook?
héhé good question. In the beginning, this application could only post one Avatar on your facebook's Wall, and you could not get the url to use the Avatars on forums... But now you can... Maybe I will change that
looks great, thanks
Did the original site stop collecting data? My signature's info is empty... =/

Greatly improves readability of the forum. Now if they'd only get rid of that silly 20 posts per page limit and increase it to 100... It was sufficient for member numbers in the BW days, but not anymore, no Sir.

Hello, Now, you can use Starcraft 2 Avatar without using Facebook !! The website contains the same fonctionalities : - Create 7 Avatar - Follow your rank evolution in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4
Here the URL : http://starcraft2avatar.fr
Regards Myke

Thanks Myke, I'll use this then from now on :D
thats really nice but i dont want that you all see iam a total noob :D

Update for 1.3 is coming in the next few days
Updated to support 1.3.
The whole WLR thing doesn't make sense anymore if you are not at least in master league because it will always show 100%.. Any ideas what to show instead?
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe division? Can't think of much else. W/L should be removed for non-master league players just as the number of losses. It looks a bit weird.
The site is pretty awesome!
Also fail @myke38 go spam your site in your own thread, not in somebody elses.....
http://sc2sig.com/profile/eu/656396/1/Rodberd/ although i picked "300x64" with "showing the ID" the ID wont show up there. there might be 2 reasons: 1) ZOMFG a bug O.O 2) not placed in season 2 so far ...
all in all, when the random-race symbol could be a little bigger (i know you already said that you're working on) it would be really nice.
maybe you should contact the people who keep the practise-partner-thread up to date and ask them to add it. would give all needed infos in 1 little picture.

These are awsome I'm gonna make a background out mine. Really cool you can put your avatar in them and really personalize it up.

It's merely taking the info from the Blizzard website. Blizzard doesn't show losses for anyone under Masters, I believe. As such, until you reach that high of a division, it will show a 100% win rate.

Same here. Result is:
An error occured:
error parsing battle.net profile response.
Which seems to imply that Blizzard made some XML changes (or whatever), most likely with the most recent patch.

Yep, I get the "An error occured, error parsing battle.net profile response" thing as well whenever I click "generate my signature".
Same Error.... hope you guys find the reason of this error, thx for the Sigil ....
An error occured:
error parsing battle.net profile response

Blizz changed the way they provide information so this won't work until it's updated ... and it might as well never be updated again.

I think its safe to say that its broken now considering this thread is over three years old and that the post you're replying to is nine months old...

Any chance to update your service?
Hi guys, since the start of the site there were about 3 donations: 4$, 1$ and 10$. This relates to the time I can invest into it.. Today I rewrote the software to work with the b.net api. I'm not sure yet how the rate throttling will affect it, but signature generation/updates are working again, all signatures are updating right now.

It says here about the sc2 api: "Applications may make up to a total of 10,000 unauthenticated requests per day. Applications may make up to a total of 50,000 authenticated requests per day.
Throttling Consumers of the API can make a limited number of requests per day, as stated in the API Policy and Terms of Use. For anonymous consumers of the API, the number of requests that can be made per day is set to 3,000. Once that threshold is reached, depending on site activity and performance, subsequent requests may be denied. High limits are available to registered applications."

Any chance of an update due to the revamped ladder?
