lol such a waist of time I've never figured why that people started using ggs at the beginning of the game in sc2, not that it makes the situation any less odd.

I played a TvP game where I base traded with the Protoss guy after he switched his tech from stalker colossus to pure void rays. I lifted by base and tried moving around so I would have enough time to kill his base. At the same time I moved my only SCV to build a CC as far away as possible. After I killed almost all his buildings he managed to kill all of my floating buildings and found my CC with about 20 probes that started to work on my CC as I was currently building it.
After I killed what I thought was his last building I noticed I forgot to kill a Assimilator at his natural. I checked my CC to see how it was fairing and the void rays showed up. So I was like SHIT! and I tried to hit 1 to select my army to kill the the Assimilator but I hit ESC key and instantly lost. I was sooooooooooooooooooooo PISSED I raged for like 20 min. I would have won

Yay, just had my first SC2 rage quit.
(this is bronze league, and I am certainly not a good player)
PvZ on LT Decided on my usual 2 gate -> zealot pressure -> robo build, walling off, killed some lings with the lots no probes but took down his FE. Pulled back from the base, he applied pressure with lings then speedlings then roaches, I held it off with a very small number of units and 2 cannons, then moved out with a small lot/stalker/sentry force, not expecting to win, just wanted to be aggressive, but I managed to take out all his roaches and his queen.
He then says:
"My control wasn't very good, but your cheese was gay, noob" then quits.
I was so happy I finally got someone to rage quit!
(also, first post on TL \o/)

I'm getting so much rage lately as a Terran, I feel super hated by both Zerg and Protoss. Getting yelled at on a consistent basis now.
|
TvZ on scrap station. Had a hunch the zerg was going to FE so I got tech lab before factory. Indeed FE. I plant a bunker right behind his min line. Couldn't find my reaper on the map so I sent my marine in. Denied mining/drone production for a long while until I found my reaper. Ended up not doing so much damage.
Him: You guys suck Me: Who's we guys? newbs? Him: Everyone cheazing so much.
(yes he wrote "cheazing")
I was so confused that he thought it was cheese. I ended up outmacroing him and winning because of that initial delay.
EDIT: To clarify I only bunkered because I saw no overlord over his hatch.

About 10 protoss on the +/- 15 TvP matches I've done today use that impossible to counter cannon/gate rushes straight into your base...
It's utterly lame crap and got me raging pretty damn hard the last few times. Blizzard sure made a smart move by canceling realid because the last 2 or 3 times I *REALLY* wouldn't have objected pursuing these lamers to the far ends of the net to teach'em what fair play means.

I don't really have any stories to share, I've had my rage moments, but I try to stay calm as best as I can. I don' t like being *that* guy.

Hahaha, I kind of love this (although I don't like it when people say GG at the start, it just doesn't make sense). How is it even possible that he would assume that?!

Are you gonna pm them after the game just to be a dick and say it to them? Thats not cool at all.
Who cares if people leave in a ladder game without saying GG.. If they dont say "fuck you" or anything, chances are they just wanna get on with the next game and play.
Ladder, not important.. League/streamed matches (streamed as in tournament, not random not knowing you are being streamed).. then sure, saying GG should be mandatory.. Although Idra clearly doesnt care about that.
Damn, I didn't think of that might not follow eSports thing, but it's a really good point. I'm definitely not going to be bothered by lack of GG anymore in Ladder!

Unbeatable cheese? I find this hard to believe, but I suppose that there was that Marine/SCV rush at the start of the beta, and that definitely qualified as unbeatable... Got a replay?

- They send one of their first probes to hide somewhere - At 9/10 probes they pop their first pylon into your base (as a terran you're usually only finishing your supply at that time) - Gateways or forge in your base
Even assuming you finish your barracks faster than them, you don't have time for a tech lab and the measly one or two marines you'll pop out will be no match for the zealot.
One possible thing to do is pull your SCVs out the line to try and take the pylon down but even if you succeed you've wasted so much time not mining that it's automatic GG.
I already hear some of you arguing "wall-off"/"scout" but it's no use, the protoss probe can just run around a few seconds and you're not walling jack if they send out one of their starting probes.
It's bull. Pure and simple.

Only time so far that i've seriously raged so hard that i had to quit the game and go do something else was:
We opened cross positions on Kulas Ravine PvT. I went for the normal 12 gate -> 3 warp gate + 1 robo build. I scouted that he hadn't build a tech lab or reactor with his wall-in barracks so i knew there would be some kind of mech attack, but i had no idea which. I built 2 immortals, three or four zeals, and a dozen stalkers. I scouted his wall again to see two thors (lol) and nothing else. A minute later i had taken my expansion because i wasn't taking him seriously anymore, thinking he was some kind of noob thor rushing. Suddenly 2 thors were attacking my expansion with like 20 scv's. Without thinking about it i just A-moved and tried to focus fire the thors. The problem is that i didn't have nearly enough units to 1 hit them and he had 2 dozen+scv's repairing them, as well as more thors rallied to my nat. Thors were so strong they killed all the stalkers (2 thors focus firing kill stalkers fast) before i managed to kill them in between all those scv's, and then he raped my natural. The exchange pretty much went:
Me: WTF? Me: I have no idea how to beat that... Him: And then i rage quit
And the worst problem is i still have NO idea how i'm supposed to kill that rush because even though i scouted it the units that were supposed to counter it did nothing.

I agree, I don't like people who even say gg at the beggining of the game, it is bad manners. It can be interpreted as saying "gg you have no chances of winning".

Experience taught me that people who start off saying "gg" or "gl" are usually the ones who will invariably use the worst and cheapest cheeses imaginable.
When they say that an alarm saying "scrub alert, be extra cautious" pops in my head o_O

I managed to beat this, I just pulled 2 scvs to concentrate on the pylon the moment it appeared he then proceeded to get the gateway, my first marine came out just before the gateway was over, by that time the two scvs had almost completly destroyed the shields, at this point just throw the marine at the pylon and start getting another one, you should destroy the pylon before the zealot is even half way out.
I even think you can destroy the pylon with only 1 scv and the other marine, the only real, real problem I'd have is if the probe actually makes 2 pylons, in which case there would be no way to actually destroy them before the zealot, in that case just get a couple of scvs to attack the zealot and the marine/marines to kite.
Anyways, I see this strategy to be very far from "unbeatable", remember, even though those scvs aren't mining because they are taking the pylon out, he will also be behind in economy for building the pylon/gateway. Just try to experiment with different strategies before calling something OP or unbeatable.

Can't you just throw down a bunker when your rax finishes? This would definitely shut down zealot aggression. And as to the forge thing you could definitely just do what you would do against any other cannon rush, because there's no way in hell he'll be able to afford more than one Gateway & Zealot if he's building cannons. Sounds pretty mundane as cheese to me..
Also, 9 Rax Reaper definitely pwwwnnns this hard, so that's always a valid option if you just can't beat it any other way..

I have see no real rage in ~400 solo ladder since the begin of the beta. I guess this will change with the release. I only saw some whines about imbalance, but no direct attack on me.
People on the beta are really friendly. This will change with the release

Only time I ever really raged hard was when I lost to a really awful cannon rush. I saw his probe being all clever, running to the fog in the back part of my base so I calmly scouted the whole area with my probe. Nothing there, even inside the smoke. I figured he must have somehow slipped out when I wasn't looking, but then the cannons are killing me. Guy juked my probe so he got back in the smoke just as I was coming out without me seeing him. Didn't say anything to him, but some yelling and hurling objects off my desk may have occurred.

Bunker takes wayyyyy to long to build to be of any use against that; by the time you get it up, if he went for gateway/chronoboost zealots he usually has 3 or 4 running around already.

I raged quite hard today. But not that bad. Just told somebody Protoss was way to OP on lower levels of play because you need to be able to scout really well and micro really good against strategy's like void ray harass or DT rush. I thought I had passed those levels of play(platinum) but i'm still having such a hard time to a good DT rush, walling helps alot but I always forget to freaking save scans because I just press E every time I have 50 energy haha and because I usually go MM+ghost against protoss ravens aren't an option. Anyway I've been experimenting with some kind of tank/hellions/(zealots)raven build(ghosts later on). I've had great succes so far. But that was against a silver/gold player haha,
