I'm playing against green tea AI 0.48 using scallin1 launcher. Everything has been working great until yesterday when I started to get this message after I leaved the game.
![[image loading]](http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/4944/trojanf.jpg)
I have scanned my computer two times now using Avira AntiVir and havent found anything. I have also googled some info about this trojan and I can't find any files or programs running associated with it.
Does anyone else has this happened to them? Is my SC2 overreacting to something or is this trojan so sneaky that only SC2 can find it? :O

Man Blizzard made SC2 an anti-virus program too. Still no chat channels though =P

What happens when you click More Information?

|
is this for realz?
|
after a quick google on the virus name it seems like a lot of wow players has experienced it aswell, some reported that downloading the program "A Squared" and running a scan fixed it.
|
it's one of two things
you have a trojan on your computer and your bad virus scanners can't find it this stuff is directly ported from wow i assume, their "warden" thing.
or
it's a false positive. im betting it's the first thing however.
you should use the Chinese launcher anyway. it's better and not bloated to hell
|
Haha, oh wow. Blizzard, you so randum.

I guess I should try another AV just to be sure. Just my luck, I haven't even played the trial wow and I still get wow trojans bah.

Pretty much. I don't agree with how Blizzard is spending their time.

Even though I want chat channels too but I can't see how this is a bad thing? It's not like they were in a meeting discussing that shall there be AV ability or chat channels and chat channels lost.
This trojan directly affects blizzard games so I would say its a good thing
|
I guess it detects that some bs .dll has been injected into the sc2.exe process? Probably not a trojan but blizzard obviously won't have any of that.
You could just go to http://www.virustotal.com/ and upload that pirated launcher. Did you download that thing from some mysterious russian website with 1995 web design?

its the scallin1 what most of the people is using playing AI. I downloaded it from the sc2.nibbits.com so it should be "legit". I have been using that since the beta went down and yesterday was the first day it started to complain
I downloaded the A-Squared free and running the scan now and its already found that freakin' trojan :o I'm going to let it finish anyways

it's ported directly from wow. i doubt it took any time at all and they probably have a separate team that update Warden.

Stop conplaining about the chat channel, Blizzard said it will be a patch for a chat channel but you wont be able to have it at the release of the game

if it's saying it's the launcher. it's more than likely a false positive.
virus scanners detect a virus in 2 ways that i know of 1 is matching the footprint of the virus. the other is to simply identify certain sections of code that CAN be malicious.
stuff like launchers and loaders generally use dll hooks and other types of functions to do what they do and that looks malicious to a virus scanner (or warden, warden will likely flag this stuff as bad since 3rd party software is against blizzards ToS)

I think its become a contest now of who can derail more threads into chat channel QQ.
Piski, if you have a smartphone I would suggest getting an authenticator attached to your bnet account. That way even if there is a trojan that you don't find you're relatively safe.

I like the fact that it says "it may compromise the security of your computer AND JEOPARDIZE YOUR ABILITY TO PLAY SCII OMG!!!!"
as in: screw the computer, you won't be able to play !
|
This might be an indication that blizzard are making good efforts in keeping sc2 hack free though.
