I like the direction they were going with the mouse, lightweight minimalistic mouse, almost like an updated logitech mini optical. But then they had to make it look like a spaceship and add "apm lights" to it. Like who the hell thinks of this crap. Agreed. I liked their older products, like the diamondback or tempest mouse, those were great. Unfortunately, from my own experience, this company cannot make keyboards. I bought the Tarantula keyboard on-sale and it was awful, completely unplayable and uncomfortable, and since that point I stay away from any product that isn't a mouse. I would consider buying this new mouse, but it's design looks tacky, and the 'APM lighting system' is a joke. The fact that they would include that as a selling point seems to me like a way to rope in gullible kid's monies.

P.S. Also I hate all that thousand button thing for many reasons.. Just leave 2 buttons and a scroll and be done with it. It wouldn't be allowed on tournaments to use them anyway..

The DPS is impressive, but IF you don't play on a ...wall I think 1800 is quite enough. Pretty much this. The only way I can think of that you would need 5600 DPI for is for the broadside of a barn... I like my Salmosa too much to let it go.

oh wow can imagine a conversation like this: "Check out my new SC2 Special gaming equipment! With APM TECHNOLOGY" "Yeah I got mine too, see?" "Dude what color is your APM?" "I got Yellow man" "Oh yeah? I got Orange, I can click and press keys faster than you!" "Oh nvm I got Red see that, its all bright and shiny!" "Screw you, I'm going to go beyond Red!" *Breaks mouse and keyboard* "FFFFFFFFFFUUUU!!!!!!!!!" *Smashes headphones* But seriously, I wonder how helpful this feature actually is...

I already have a good mouse (logitech G5) and headset (nice Plantronics); my keyboards is a genius worth like 3 dollars (though I've never had anything to complain about it). But I MUST HAVE all those 3 item to be a good player, otherwise, how am I gonna know? APM tech will raise me to the skies! /sarcasm mode off Most games have a tendency to go for the "stupid between 12-18 years old" gaming market, mostly because it pays off, is a HUGE market (mommy buy me this mouse o my friends will laugh at me for being poor and lame); some games also have another market in mind (which sometimes is the real focus) and act accordingly, but the guys must make money somehow, and seeing how SC2 is going to impact (already did) in the gaming community they'd be fools not to do it. I honestly only hope that this kind of "shitty marketing" don't overlap with which IMO should be the main focus of SC2 (and the hardware companies) of providing quality material for real gamers. PS: If anyone reading this is between 12 and 18 years old please don't feel like I'm directly attacking you, remember the "stupid" part, I think that most stupid people will never read this

This is the most backwards statement you could make about DPI and its use in games. In FPS you generally want as low DPI as possible while still being able to move around properly. RTS is the one competitive genre where a reasonably "high" DPI is actually very useful (so you can tweak it to have very exact and precise mouse control). ------------------- I was hoping this was some kind of joke. A lot of people give Razer shit for having blinkenlights and being overpriced shiny shit etc. I will always recommend Razer mice to people - their engineers just know what they're doing. But this mouse has such utterly silly features that I have trouble even considering it as a "serious" mouse. The mouse looks like an Abyssus if you look from every angle. However, there is a set of thumb buttons directly in the way of where my fingers naturally go - so I'm not sure how that would work. If the mouse is fully symmetric and has thumb buttons on the other side as well - that's where two fingers go to hold the mouse on the other side. The lighting is probably incredibly obnoxious. Nothing to say about the keyboard. Razer keyboards don't strike me as a great buy. The headset looks like it would be very uncomfortable for long sessions. The weight, balance, and square ear-foam all seem just wrong. All in all, this seems like a huge money-grab that won't result in any quality products. If anyone is looking at Razer mice, look no further than the Deathadder and the Abyssus. Those are the two best things that Razer makes and they are simply incredible.

Unless you play with high sensitivity, even an ie.3.0 with its 400 dpi is more than enough. 0-15 cm for a 360 degree rotaion in game = High sens 15-20 cm for a 360 degree rotaion in game = Medium-high sens 20-25 cm for a 360 degree rotaion in game = Medium sens 25-35 cm for a 360 degree rotaion in game = Low sens 35+ cm for a 360 degree rotaion in game = Very low sens If you guys want a good mouse that has proven to be worthy for a lot of FPS'ers over the years and are not that expensive: microsoft ie 3.0, razer death adder and logitech mx510 are regarded as the best.
