That's my guess. The only thing that made me think it might be a patch before was that when I opened SC2, it went to the patch update screen with the play button automatically highlighted (obviously it didn't actually dl a patch). But now that that's gone, I am pretty confident that it's not a patch. I am a sad camper

I seriously doubt that shit is going to work in Platinum league. I was a bad D Terran in SC1, I play bad Platinum Terran in SC2, M&M&M works vs (almost) anything. NOOOoooo idea if the other races' matchups are as easy though ^^; If they reset the ladder at some point, I'm purposely going to lose games to stay in gold, it's really difficult for (a bad player like) me to try anything new in platinum. Your experience sounds extremely similar to mine so far though. To answer your thought - that shit will probably work in Platinum league.
Low platinum league, if you have good mechanics you don't even need a good unit comp. If you are diligent on expanding, aggressiveness and scouting you can win without having too much specific SC2 game knowledge. Obviously all that changes the higher you go up.

Pretty much. I'm at 1400~ as terran without that much sc2 knowledge and I mostly freestyle in my games. So many people bm me after I fail a 10 rax proxy reapers and still beat them

People who are complaining about blue/orange screens: are you spam clicking on the box to close those windows? Just click once to close each and they stop coming up unless you click again.
