Thank you all for entering. This thread was massive. In the end it came down two people, who were both 2 numbers off from the winning number. ElaineCake has a whopping 8 more posts than the other forum user, therefore she\he won.
I wish the rest of you all luck in getting into this game and I thank everyone for playing.

I have 1 extra beta key because I was impatient in waiting for my online pre-order key to arrive. None of my friends seem to be interested in the SC2 beta. Even if they were they could simply preorder and get one.
Therefore in an effort to give to the TL.net community I have devised this simple random number giveaway of my extra key. The random number concept was chosen by forum readers.

Therefore in an effort to give to the TL.net community I have devised this simple random number giveaway of my extra key. The random number concept was chosen by forum readers.
Rules:
- The contest will be held in this thread to avoid cluttering the forum.
- The minimum post requirement is 25, or a join date prior to: 4.20.2010. Initially I wasn't going to have one. But I am afraid people will make a new profile with a non-NA region, or spam. I have no way to verify that other than a post count\join date.
- North American's are not allowed to enter. If you do by accident your entry will be ignored. I'm from NA and we can all get a beta key by simply pre-ordering. Let's allow our friends in other parts of the world a shot at some SC2 fun please.
- The person with the guess closest to the winning number will receive the key.
- In the event of duplicate guesses or two numbers falling very close to the winning number: the person with a higher post count gains veteran status and will be declared the winner. This is my effort to remain fair to all who enter, while giving some benefit to TL.net users who have been around for a while.
- You may only post 1 number\guess total. Multiple posts by individuals are not allowed.
- SUPER IMPORTANT: If you win, I will PM you the key. Because I am not 100% certain that the keys are not locked by region\usable in all areas - I want you to PM me back and let me know that it worked.
Let's Get Started:
- I (roark) will post the start of the contest. I will make the most recent post saying:
"CONTEST BEGINS HERE" - At this point please leave all discussion out of this forum, only post contest entries (ie: your number guess) after this post.
- You must post a number 1-1000 in your post.
- The contest will be open for 18 hours - 6pm EST to 12pm EST - (24:00 - 18:00 CET) to give those in Europe\Asia enough time to enter during their normal day. (It is already very late there.)
- I will use Random.org to generate a number. I will post a screen shot as proof and announce a winner.
