Hey, I go by lolwut on Sc2Mapster and I am the one that's been working on Python. It started as an experiment with the legacy import function, hence why its crap, but I'll probably work on improving/balancing it properly over the next few days.
I've already decided to increase the map bounds slightly and redo all the nats. I'm currently unable to test in game to make sure mineral/gas placement is correct, and can see reaper harass being maybe a little too good at the stage.
But yeah, if anyone has any suggestions, particularly on how resources are distributed between expansions and maybe possible watchtower locations, post here or PM them. If it goes well might see if I can remake some other BW maps as well.

put a watchtower at the tail and the head of the python himself, also maybe consider putting them on platforms
hmm possibly interesting discussion: if you were to make towers near bases would you have the openings facing towards the closer base or away from it? or just have no openings at all with a circular ramp instead?

From what I read: General - New maps
Zerg - Larva cancellation doesn't kill larva - Infested terrans were removed (or moved) - Creep Tumors not auto targeted - Burrowed infestors and roaches now receive 30% movement bonus from creep - Queens got a faster speed boost on creep - Ultralisk got bigger (InnerRadius From .5 to .75) - Neural parasite is now range 9 (was range 7) ?
Terran - Reactor Build time (to 40 from 50) - Marauder upgrade from (100/100 to 50/50) - Planetary Fortress damage was fixed, it now does 100% splash instead of 150% - HSM - Before it did 100% splash in a 1.6 radius, now it does 100% splash in a 0.6 radius.
Protoss - Mothership is now armored type as well - Immortal build time increased 40 -> 55
Just from what I gathered in this thread you guys can modify it if I missed anything and judge on actual patch release

Some of these "new upgrades" people are claiming are probably for single-player. The campaign allows for overarching global upgrades to your units and structures, so I'd hate to see people posting information as fact when it will only end up applying to the campaign. The key stuff got mentioned anyway: Terran Reactor buff, Immortal build time nerf, Marauder upgrade buff, Queen speed nerf.

So I emulated the patch manifest server and SC2 now starts updating itself to Patch 9.. except then I get this:

Yeah, wow. Tank units having a low collision size makes them stronger, not weaker. A somewhat small collision size is one thing that made Bears strong in WC3, and why Ling/Ultra was strong in SC1. I can't imagine why Blizzard would nerf one of the most unused units in the game ;_; (I'm toss, not zerg btw).

the queen moves pretty much the same, it has a higher creep speed multiplier, but its speed off creep got nerfed

Most of the patches have come around this time of the week, one came on a Tuesday if I recall.
