What I didn't like was the "accusation" of the caller for the TSL to just introduce new maps and be a trend setter, as I really liked the decisions for the mappool, taking well known classical maps as well as the relatively new GSL maps into the pool and working around close position / backdoor disadvantages on the ladder maps. I think it could have been done to add the iCCup maps, but then you would have to train more separately on ladder / GSL / whatever tournament.

![]() Sorry if my call seemed like an "accusation" (that was not intended as such), since tsl was "on" i said tsl... Originally i was more going to say mlg or nasl... (who both announced they would not do it, nasl spokesperson (+ Show Spoiler + sorry for not remembering his name ![]() ![]() The point i was trying to get out there is just that it only takes one "high profile" tournament to set the ROTATION of maps going in all of them.. which would lead to a higher quality of competition and an overall awesome viewing experience (not to mention it might get blizzard to do something about their own rotation ![]() Of course the maps should be "advertised" in advance (for players to practice on and for them to be discussed/picked on/polished/approved/be ready before said tournament). Of course some new maps would have to be rejected.. but the rotation is vital for star2, as it has been proven with the great experience we gained from star1). Blizzard even said it from the start: "as for map pool rotation: we encourage tournaments to take matters into their own hands!" You guys tell me, if not tl then who'll do it? i know tl admins have what it takes.. that's why i mentioned their "balls" ![]() As to the difficulty in doing this? No pain = no gain! Personally, i see it as fulfilling their role as "premiere" site/organization for star2... Anyway, mapmakers are up for this.. allow them to prove it and do their "work", and we will all benefit from it ![]() Thank you Wheat, thank you Chill, your shows helps the community tremendously: Long live WoC! ps: loved the "fc rantz", i'm still smiling : ![]()

![]() I generally agree on the part of "one has to do it" though, its just that I think the TSL in its current form should stick with using established stuff, I'd love to see more on MLG, really liked including Testbug.. as well as I like ESLs Go4SC2 Cups for using iCCup ![]()

EDIT: Regarding the use of rape and racial offensive words in casting. You should be able to say whatever you like on the internet as long as the context isn't to offend anyone. A word IS just a word. + Show Spoiler + I raped that marine.

And then my best friend was raped. I don't want to hear it anymore.

It is incredibly offensive for some persons. And do you know how many women are actually get raped or sexual attacked? It's the majority. So thanks incontrol for that call.

At some point, you have to be a realist and simply understand that just because you aren't emotional about a word, doesn't mean others can't be. Emotions omit logic, so using a logical argument in an argument based around emotion will get you nowhere. Now, I would love for eeeeverybody to simply understand that context is what always matters, and words can't be hurtful without hurtful context attached to them... but it wont happen. Destiny has the same ideas that every young, white male has in American society, and it's nothing special. It makes sense, but it's just not practical.

You're also okay with using "gay" "faggot" and "nigger" to describe things right? The context isn't meant to offend anyone, but the people whom the words have some personal meaning to ARE offended. I guarantee you something reverberates with you too. If you're adopted and I called you a motherless bastard without knowing, you would get pretty offended (whereas the average person probably wouldn't). Or if I called you a fatass in a joking manner and you actually were fat. Look at how many homosexual suicides there have been over the past few years. Is it really that hard to stop using those words when it might contribute to saving a life? Or at the very least not making homosexuals or rape victims feel ostracized or uncomfortable.

If one person of his 3000 viewers gets offended by him saying "rape", he should not stop saying rape. That one person should be the one that changes, since they are the extreme minority, or they should no longer watch that stream. The end of it. Any other option, such as censoring for the minority, is fucking stupid.

That said, Destiny's argument that "words are just words, so people should just grow up and forget about it" is crazy. Language is not a completely objective thing, words carry meaning, it's the whole purpose of a language, and that meaning is different for each person based on raising and personal experiences, amongst other things. So you can't expect something as subjective and emotion carrying as language to suddenly become objective just because YOU think it's like that. So... shortsighted. Note that I'm not talking about censorship. If he doesn't want to censor himself, that's fine, just warn listeners what they will hear, so sensitive ears can avoid your hurtful words.

But still, incontrol haha. Personally I don't care about this debate, I have no definitive opinion. But each time incontrol debate about a thing it makes me side for the other side. Because I hate his debating approach, which is the same approach as politician on TV. They don't care about making sense, they just want to win the approval of the listeners. Pure demagogy.
