I know one of the things I SUCKED at before we getting the shows up in a timely manner, so we're really trying to fix that. I personally ask that you be patient with the iTunes feed as we get everything setup... but once it's completed we'll be shooting for same day release of all programs both in VOD and Podcast format. Thanks for clearing that up. I wish you guys all the best in the future of the shows. Huge fan of both Live on Three and Weapon of Choice. :D

How does that even work? Maybe it's because everything feels diluted. With BW it's like BAM this is what you watch. And you watch it.

I think it's like completionism in a video game: If I have to get 500 coins to complete one section 100%, and in playing the game I naturally find 200 of them, then I may go around trying to get 100%. If I have to get 50,000, then I'm not going to bother. With SC2, when I've watched 50% of the important leagues, then it's no big deal to catch up and grind through the other 50% so that I'm up to date on the state of Starcraft. But when I've watched 2% of the important leagues, then I just don't even care to try to keep up.

But when I've watched 2% of the important leagues, then I just don't even care to try to keep up. That is exactly the reason why I think the "lesser leagues" (those masses of weekend tournaments which happen at the same time) *should* join forces to make bigger (and better?) tournaments. Sadly I dont think it will happen, simply because each tournaments sponsor wants to have its name in the title of the tournament or first on the list. There are too many egos involved, but maybe a charismatic figure / organization (nudge nudge TL?) might talk them into joining forces for the good of it all. With such a joining of forces these tournaments could be formed into an ongoing competition ... kinda like an amateur version of the NASL and this might even be used as a basis to qualify for bigger tournaments. This would ultimately streamline the "tournament tracking" in centralizing it and I feel it would be a good thing. If such a thing gets done for one continent (and it works) the same organizational structure could be applied to other continents and thus we could have a method of comparing the results AND the slightly bigger prize pools might enable semi-professionals to be supported somewhat better. Personally I have stopped even looking at the results of the NASL (because it simply takes too long to "get to the point") and only care about the TSL and GSL (and IPL while it lasted) right now, but I havent even watched the small weekend stuff like ZOTAC or Go4SC2 for months ... like I did during the beta times. Even then the simultaneus playing time made me choose one of them to follow ... We kinda need a "centralized schedule", where we only ever have one thing going on at the same time to maximize the potential viewership for each tournament.

I watch NASL if i'm bored, but mostly to see players i care about (Idra and Artosis mostly). IPL was cool but i didn't feel compelled to watch it after the first day of watching. TSL i actually have missed every single time it's on, i think that's a time zone issue but i made sure to watch MC v Thorzain and a few other well hyped matches. I really think the key is that with so much more you really get to pick the good from the bad a lot easier. I'm being forced to pick and choose, so its a survival of the fittest kind of dynamic there and for me GSL is winning by some margin. Anyway love this show, definitely adding this and ITG to my weekly viewing schedule (lol schedule). And agree about the team leagues. The GSTL is an amazing format, and it just creates drama and stories and heroes. The other format i have actually no interest in seeing whatsoever. To me it's just crap. Oh God i just got to the Meta Game question. L O L

for me its a mix of sc2 just not keeping me entertained as much ( "yeah seen that before... i could do that.. oh aclick allin game..") ,beeing very picky when it comes to casters and a overwhelming amount of content. a league has to capture my interest by beeing special now. the days of " watch sc2 cause there is sc2 to watch" are over. in the end im spoiled by sc2 content evrywhere and the high quality of gsl/tsl. i dont care about random small cups and leagues.and unless there is some story behind it i dont care about showmatches. NASL i dont care about because i disagree with their payment model, the season is way too long and i dont like their production much (yeah it got WAY better, still not exactly my taste). IGN league was interesting but season2 will be the true test. also what chill said. when i still just had to check gsl and maybe the odd event evry 2-3 weeks for results i still knew evrything that was going on. now with all the millions of leagues, cups, matches, events, torunaments, shows and whatever i just stopped caring and following it and overall watch way less. what i still watch is TSL, GSL as much as i can(cause of quality, casters & "flavor") and special events like mlg, dreamhack, iem etc. oh and started watching bw more again, the "wow" effect just happens way more often in a msl game .

Less leagues = easy to watch an catch all the results, but only top players can play tournaments... SC2 is THE eSport game because EVERYONE can compete each other and get a shot.

broodwar players seem to lament the separation of korea from the rest of the world, leading to people who didnt play in korea falling behind the trends. With the growth of esports in the US specifically, do you see the amount of 'americans only/preferred' tourneys to be a problem for the growth of the game in a global way?
