You do the same thing Day9 does where you say your signoff and then shut down the stream and it cuts you off, you need to wait like 10-15 seconds for the delay to catch up.
Good stuff though, maybe take some questions at the end.

Gotta get through replays faster. Once you explain something, you don't have to repeat it again and again or it just takes up too much time. For instance - explaining that the sentry forcefield could have been used to block the ramp during the protoss push on the zerg expansion should have been done once as you came across it during the replay, and then maybe again during a summary at the end. But you mentioned it like 4-5 times or something and took up too much time on it. Very insightful commentary otherwise though.

Loved your first episode. I actually didn't expect much from your analysis since I wasn't too impressed by your commentating (just being honest). BUT, I was really blown away. I learned a lot, even as a zerg player, it was great to see what's going through your mind when you make micro/macro decisions. I honestly really enjoyed the show and am looking forward to the next one soon! Thoughts: I know you probably don't want to copy Day9 but when you're making key points I think it helps to draw attention away from the game by putting the camera on your face. I noticed several moments where I thought it would help. Concerns: What will your analysis be like on other races, I know you know protoss in and out but I play zerg, so it'll be interesting to see if you can provide key points there as well. Anyway overall great job!

Quick suggestion though: Maybe you can take some time at the end for a quick little Q&A session about the replay that you just finished showing? A lot of people were asking for a QA, and I would like to see you answer some questions, too. Anyways, great job, it's really great to see someone trying to reach out to the lower tier players. Keep up the good work!

I don't agree with a lot of what you say but it gives me a different perspective, I'll catch these as much as I can just like Day9's. I appreciate it, screw the haters =] He can't. If he turns the gain up he gets a lot of white noise.

Checklist: -As was told in IRC I need to cut to my face more. I kept forgetting when pausing the replay and explainin something to switch to my face instead of sitting there looking at nothing -Wait like 10 seconds before cutting off the stream -Q&A Session at the end and don't accept questions mid-stream from people in-game until answering questions at the end. -Get through the replays faster and try to repeat myself less. -Pour the tea earlier so i can drink it and not get a soar throat gah! hehe <3 you guys, glad to get the good feedback. As for the question on whether you can submit non-protoss replays: Yes! While I won't be able to provide as much in-depth race-specific insight and unit-counters I can definitely help with timings and macro/etc.

PvZ (I'm the toss) where I'm constantly contained in my base via muta harass. I think this is a problem a lot of toss have against Zerg (particularly on maps like this - the ever-so-fun Scrap Station). I tried a couple of tricks against the zerg, I think it'd be a fun one for you to commentate on ![]() Edit to add: I didn't realize when you were doing your first show of this (I thought it was an hour later, I need to get my timezones straight), so I only caught the very tail end of your commentary today ![]() ![]()

I do think you should do a little more of analyzing both sides of the matchup. Yes, the goal is to help the guy who submitted the replay, but I think it's really profitable to see what both sides are doing, what they're both thinking. It's why I play random until I feel like I understand every side of all the matchups. While the submitting player wants some help, it's also important to remember that there are plenty of zerg players who you could help by analyzing their side of things. Obviously, the "winning" side needs less analysis, but in the games you analyzed tonight, they made pretty obvious errors as well. I think that it really helps the protoss players as well. If you can understand what's going through your opponents' mind, it helps your own play. I think that's what separates the best players from the rest: They realize what their opponents are likely doing to respond to a situation and move to preemptively counter it. I know this sounds basic, but I felt like you were focusing too much on just one side. I think everyone would really benefit from at least a basic analysis of the opponent's strategy at various points of the game. In any event, keep it up. Was very entertaining and probably very helpful to others, too. Just wanted to throw my two cents in.
