Special event : EU Exhibition Must (Z) vs Obben (P) ![]() We're also happy to reopen our roster to new players. If you are available 6-7:30pm EST, a US player and in the platinum league, feel free to apply to shoutcraft@cynicalbrit.com. We are looking for some more Zerg players to vary things up, in particular, but any race is welcome. An update on our 1080p VoDs. Because the new Replay system removes any freezes or slowdown due to lag, it causes an audio desync between our live commentary and the FRAPsed replay, which in turn has extended production time significantly in order to fix each video. As a result, we're behind with production. We've got a great 30 minute video in the pipeline ready to go up tonight and we're looking into way to eliminate the desync problem, such as FRAPsing live. Hope to see you all tonight

Friday will be Emperor's final show. He's getting married in less than 2 months, his work commitments have ramped up and he needs to try and spend as much time with his family as possible. I wish him the very best and hope to see him again on the stream in the future when everything is sorted out. In the meantime, I'll be taking the stream solo going forward and inviting guest commentators to join in from time to time. It's part of SHOUTcraft's mission to bring as many people into the eSports fan-fold as possible and I hope to cooperate with as many commentators as possible to make that happen. The way that I create VoDs is changing. SC2 replays don't work in the same way SC1's did, the replay system removes all lag and delay, meaning the length of the replay differs from that of the actual game. That means live recorded commentary will always end up out of sync. Re-syncing it is a time consuming task, a video that should take an hour or so to put together is taking 5+, that's not conducive to regular releases. Also it's come to our attention that camera tracking in the replay system is not accurate enough, so say, when you lock your camera to a commentator's view, it jumps around a lot, it's not smooth. That doesn't make for good viewing. In order to resolve these problems, I'll be taking the best replays from each show and recasting them via the replay which will allow for higher quality commentary audio and smoother camera work as well as a much reduced production time, so more weekly videos can be produced. SHOUTcraft will be splitting into 2 shows, SHOUTcraft US and SHOUTcraft EU. The shows will move from their current slot to a more appropriate time, avoiding clashing with other streams, which will assist in our roster's availability. Times are still TBA. The VoD archive on Livestream will be properly edited and organised to allow for easier viewing and VoDs which end up on Youtube in 1080p will be clearly marked. So those of you in the EU who are of a platinum level, we want you for our roster. If you are interested in joining other platinum players for entertaining show matches, then drop me an email to shoutcraft@cynicalbrit.com Emperor's final show will happen on Friday at the usual time and further VoDs from the last couple of weeks are forthcoming. Thanks for your time, we'll see you friday.

I have an idea for a series that I think you would be the most appropriate to create: If I want to get someone hooked on SC2, for example a gf, wife or friend, I can probably persuade that person to watch a couple of games. But the problem is, which ones to choose? Day[9] is appealing to the SC2 players with his tactical analysis, but that is not really suited for a newcomer. If you could find some high-level iconic match and do a commentary aimed specifically at the newcomer I think they would helping bridge the gap to get started. An example of such a game could be TLO vs. Nazgul in TL Invitational. That game was impressive and action packed from start to finish. Anyway, just an idea for you. Keep up the good work.

I'm going to go hunting for some really good replays and title them 'SHOUTcraft Showcase'. Anything that's got a showcase title will be something that's a cut above the rest and recommended viewing for everyone. I hope to roll some of these out over the next couple of weeks.

Last night I turned off your stream because the whole thing felt like it evolved into Emperor throwing insults at you. This only served the purpose of taking attention away from the games that were actually played, and it was not enjoyable listening to. Thanks for providing this cast, I usually enjoy it immensely but last night was off the mark (imo primarily because of your co-caster).

![]() Now, as for news. It looks like Ye Olde VoD 'o' Death might actually upload this time, it's a 31 minute match, in it's entirity, between JTPROG and Whiplash, it's pretty damn entertaining so here's hoping the upload doesn't fail again. As to when the show will be moved to, I'm tentatively saying Saturday but last I checked there were often some tournaments on Saturday and I wouldn't want to clash with their streams, so that's still up in the air. The European roster is still coming along nicely but we could use some more players, email shoutcraft@cynicalbrit.com with the bio information in the original post. As to when the EU stream will happen, that's also still up on the air. Thanks for the support thus far, we're really happy with the progress and looking forward to many more shows and VoDs.

I understand that last night was Emperors last cast with you for a while, but I still want to provide this feedback. Excellent commentary TB, always a joy to hear you on the interwebs, but I must say I won't miss Emperor either. I honestly didn't enjoy his style, especially when he would seem to shout to the players, telling them what he would do in the same situation rather then suggesting what other options were open to the player in question at that point in time. No matter how good you are at Starcraft, there's never the "perfect" way to play and so trying to impose your own style of play on others just makes you seem more arrogant. Anyway, good luck with your continued ventures in SCII commentary, I look forward to hearing some more EPIC comments ![]()

The second is the creation of SHOUTcraft EU, allowing european players to get in on the action. That show will air on Wednesdays at 7pm BST (8pm CET, 2pm EST). US kicks off this Saturday whereas EU starts next Wednesday. If you wish to be a part of either roster, drop an email to shoutcraft@cynicalbrit.com with your bio details and make sure you can be available at those times for around 90 minutes. To celebrate the launch of the new shows, we'll be giving away 20 beta keys as well as some other prizes, the method of winning will be announced on the livestream. As we're here to provide an introduction to eSports and it's more advanced, talented commentators, I'm more than open to guest commentary. I'll be speaking to some of the community's more established casters over the next couple of weeks, so who knows who might end up filling the chair?
