I don't think you quite understand how these things work. They're not YouTube step by step build guides. The daily wasn't about the ghost build so much as it was about analyzing a new strategy. (and opening with a hellion drop seems abysmally fragile) | ||

Sure i get that, except the strat is awful. 1 Spotter by the terran ramp and those marines are gonna get to the protoss base with 1/2 health from stalker kiting and then raped at the ramp with A guardian shield + stuff. 2rax marauder pressure / contain is 10x scarier and harder to handle cause they can kite your zealots and instagib stalkers, they just won't die. And even if you damage them or he over stim medvacs are on the way to keep the terran on the offensive until a colossus comes out. Its like learning a new theoretical view on some problem. Its the view of the problem that matters, not the problem itself. The problem is just there to simply the learning process. Just like the strat in the daily. | ||

One question for Day9, if he reads this: I like having the progress bar covered, but would you mind putting the new game clock up? It would help inexperienced players like me to judge our builds and our army production against the pros. In my case seeing when the pro-level push comes and how quickly toss can get an army up on two gates would help me know if my problem is macro related or decision-making related. | ||

I fully support this request. I found myself watching at the space where the clock is (when shown) more than once during the last dayly (187), but sadly it was not being shown. Even though I played only a couple of days after the patch came, it is so usefull for learning that to check it has already become an habit of mine (for the reasons given in the quote and more, like timing in general for different kind of builds to compare to the defenses I have in my BOs at those times). | ||

In Daily #186 - PvT Example of Early Defense, I am a bit unsure of what, specifically, was Adelscott's observation which caused him to decide to pull his army back? He sent his observer into the T base, as he was moving his colossus/immortal + gateway units army out. Then, he saw just 3 barracks and a factory under construction, and he pulled back. Was it because he did not see a CC being made in the main? Was it because he saw T was only up to factory? Could someone please shed some light on this, because I would likely have moved my army up to either contain, or push in, and I'd like to know the concept that I am missing here. http://day9tv.blip.tv/file/4170265/ At 11:40-12:34 | ||
