I've been having some trouble getting this achievement because it seems to keep resetting. I got to 19/25 in one campaign before I started over to get the research / upgrades I wanted to help beat All-In brutal. Upon resetting, I found it started back at 0/25. Fine. So I get all the way back to 21/25 playing in a single campaign, and now all of a sudden I find that it says 1/25. I have not loaded, played, or started a different campaign. Does anyone know what the hell could be going on? Does anyone know where or if there is a save file that I could use to get this achievement because I really don't feel like completing all of the missions on brutal for a 3rd time just to get this stupid bugged achievement.
Thanks all!

You have to initially beat a mission on brutal IIRC, say if you skipped mission 2 and come back to do it later, it won't count towards your achievement. However, you can easily cheese this achievement by beating the first mission on Brutal, but save as you're attacking the final building and reload that save 25 times...

Idk I didn't have much trouble at all getting this...I first beat the game everything on hard. Then I did the "continue campaign" did all the missions on brutal up to all in. I couldn't do all in because I didn't have hive emulator so I found a save back when I didn't have it, played through casual back up to all in getting all my research/ups, then just did all in brutal and got all the achievements.

you only need to complete all missions on brutal regardless of order though I do believe it has to be in the same save file(s). This means at the campaign computer all missions must be beaten on brutal.

I didn't know you could do that, thanks.

I don't think that works since 1.1.2 or 1.1.1

Some of the achievements that have a counter enabled tend to reset after patches and stuff. Doesn't happen every time, but it does. After 1.1.3 my FFA-kills went from 3600/5000 to 0/5000, same for the Brutal missions. It's a shame, but it will not happen EVERY time you almost reach 25, so you don't have to worry about that.

The "Difficulty XX" mission achievements always look grayed out to me and sometimes don't have the right numbers, but they seem to still be keeping track of total missions completed. I can't imagine it works to beat the same mission more than once, the whole point of the achievement is to lead up to Completionist at 29 missions.

Sorry to bump but I have a similar problem. I got the achievement for playing all the campaign on brutal but the 25/25 brutal achievement is still saying 24/25. I cannot locate a save file that has 24/25 brutal missions finished. Is there anyway I could still finish that 1 mission or am I boned?
|
yeah, it's bugged, and frequently miscounts. used to be you could just reload a mission near the end and have the victory screen come up ten times. people in this thread are saying that aspect's been patched. if it has, you may be in trouble, but i got 24 "legit," then the last by "reloading" (after i had beat all 29 missions on brutal).

If its bugged for you i suggest you head over to the Saved Champaign Saves thread (Not sure about the name) and just download that 25 brutal completion from someguy on Page 16 i believe. Just do one mission and you have it. Its not cheating since you already got it if youre conserned about that.
