For anyone having trouble completing the Swarm challenges without losing units - i found a trick that lets you use any skill twice that can help you out

basically have every unit in its section ready to go except a spell caster - in this case infester - send them to a section you want extra units in and spawn as many infested terrans as you want, then have the infester go to whichever section you want him in later and as soon as he gets there start the challenge - doing this will fill the infester mana back to full

the extra infested terrans will be able to eat some of the fire so you can get your units in place and with some burrow micro it is a lot easier to not lose any units

Nice trick, but not really necessary. I found zerg rounds to be the easiest of all races, since you can burrow damaged units and the AI doesn't have detection and won't chase damaged units anyway.

While I haven't tried it yet, I assume you can do the same thing with hallucinations in the Protoss rounds. To me, they're the hardest of the 3...

Protoss ones - don't use the damn zealots at all when fighting tank/marauder. Ironically it leads to fewer losses; the immortals can just kill everything ezmode.

I have be having huge amount of trouble with the protos caster challenge every other one I aced on the first try but I can't freaking beat the psyonic defens or whet ever its called its hard as shit T_T

Hah, I found this same thing. I was having a lot of trouble minimizing losses until I just kept the zealots in the back doing nothing.

yes this is the one I had most trouble with, but once you figure out the trick to each wave it's not too bad.

Firstly if you just want the achievement then you can cheese the level by saving after every wave and reloading if you don't do them perfect.

Use two templar for stroms for the first 10 waves or so and then morph when they're out of energy, keep your other templar back.

Standard force field + sentry attack + storm will beat all the initial waves - make sure not to lose any units and don't waste storms - one storm is usually enough to kill everything or weaken it enough so your sentries can mop up without losses.

Reapers are probably the hardest waves because they just jump over the cliff - best thing is to tank them with hallucinated archons and then 1 good storm should do it, you have to be quick though or you'll start losing sentries. Also remember to still use forcefield if the reapers come in with other units to split the wave up.

The banshees instantly die to feedback spell, just make sure you are ready for them.

The Stalkers and Siege Tank waves are also tough because the storm won't damage them much, best way is to again tank with hallucinations and then attack + storm, you'll probably lose a few guys to these but hopefully you'll keep enough alive.

Hopefully you'll have a bunch of sentries left by the time the waves start trying to bash through the rock otherwise you won't be able to take out the ultralisk in time.

Does anyone know how many waves there are total? I died a couple of waves after I got the gold achievement.
