hahahahahaah i like how half the comment posts are "omgsshhhh hawwt" .. miki ando has bigger boobs, the end ![]() but yeepppp kim yuna's pretty epic, although she won this years worlds kinda shadily because she wasn't as good as the other skaters technically (ie, in terms of points from jumps, spins, step sequences) but won on the components scores (which are more subjective, scores on artistry and "choreography"). but the edge she rides out on out of her jumps are -perfection-, and she connected with the audience really well in this performance, which makes it a pretty epic gold-medal winning one. i don't like her music this year -- it doesn't suit her as much as some of her old ones. my favorite program of hers is actually from when she was jr level (she was -just- as good back then.. either a good thing or a bad thing, because she hasn't really improved, although she really doesn't need to !) junior worlds 2006 SP [short program] (won gold here over mao asada, the best japanese skater who she still is 'rivals' with, and arguably the best technical womens skater -- asada has a triple axel, which is basically a man jump haha [3.5 revs]) her FS [free skate, also abbreviated LP for long program] from 2006 junior worlds is also good. 'lark ascending' which she used 06-07 was amazing, also. i think the lyrical style fits her much better than the brass-y/ethnic stuff she skates to now.. 'lark ascending' was "ethnic" i suppose, but not like 'miss saigon' which she skated to last year my teacher made me skate to 'memoirs of a geisha' last year to suck up to the ancient white judges hahahaaha. i was like "durrrr...not japanese..." skating is an annoying sport to follow (or fun to debate?) because it's really subjective. there are always 'favorites,' and despite the new code of points system (they don't use a 6.0 scale anymore), judges definitely inflate the points of those that they favor.. that was -definitely- the case for yuna, this year. hella politics in skating (a judge was bribed in salt lake '02, thus they changed the point system up to make it harder to rig) http://www.isuresults.com/results/wc2009/wc09_Ladies_FS_Scores.pdf ^ almost makes it look like a real sport. i take back what i said before- yuna won in the technical marks, but only because the judges added HELLA 'grade of execution' (GOE) points [given for entering elements in a difficult way, or doing them exceptionally well.. see how it can be pretty biased?]. from the base value of points, she actually does LESS jumps than the rest of the skaters. hahahaha you probably don't want to read all that. just c+p onto the teamliquid forums x) | ||
