From a footballing standpoint it seems pretty good, granted I’m not stealth. Aside from Pulisic who is sadly made of glass there aren’t many who could play for a big boy in the Premier league, and while still a strong league the Bundesliga is shaping up to be a strong finishing school for young talent.

I’m curious why there’s so many, if it’s partly cultural as well. I know historically some army base babies went through the Bundesliga and played for the USMNT but I’m not sure what’s driving it now.

Hopefully stealth can provide some detail!

The more US players join Europe the better the USMNT is overall, that is the end game right there. We also have two players in Spain, one I think is at Barcelona, and one, McKennie, in Italy at Juventus. But Germany is overall the technical champion when it comes to fundamentals etc.

Dallas is a partner club of Bayern Munich, Pepi is one of the players who was allowed to join Bayern in training during MLS off-season which apparently left a lasting impression on him. He was always going to take his next step in Germany. And Augsburg has an American investor as well, probably made it easier to afford Pepi.

Augsburg is my least liked team in the bundesliga because of their organisation and how they treat players in general. Also, they are plain garbage and benefit from other teams sucking in the right moment at end season for augsburg not to relegate (HSV, Bremen, Schalke etc).

If Arsenal can remotely match their performance against City regularly they look a genuine contender for that Champion’s League shot.

Quite a few look to be in potential play for that.

i didnt see the game so dont know how well jones played over the 90 mins, but ive always held the unpopular opinion that jones is actually a pretty good cb, despite all the memes about his blunders and own goals. really its all his injuries that have ruined him, if he could stay fit then id take him over maguire any day of the week.

It does get a bit cruel at times the mockery. He had a lot of potential as a younger player and I've never heard a peep emanating out of United that he's anything but a model pro.

He's not a bad player, injuries wrecked his chance to really deliver on his potential but he can still do some kind of job I imagine, heard he played alright against Wolves there.
