I think the Liverpool system has been to award updated contracts quite eagerly if someone starts performing way above their salary. I found some Sports Illustrated listing where Robertson was listed as £100k a week, so it might be a bit more than the 50k a week these days. The same list had Jota and Luis Diaz at £90k a week, which seem pretty good deals to me. | ||

I just read an article that Klopp is not gonna renew his contract with Liverpool. Currently his contract is until summer 2024 after which he wants to take a large break. Rumors are his projects after the break might be German national team, back to Dortmund or .... drum roll ... the English nation team. Will edit the source as soon as I find it again | ||

Yes they could "rejig" things for sure, but then they are not "as likely" to win the games they do when Salah goes crazy like Messi/Ronaldo and win them the game himself which happens a fair bit. I am only saying they go from title contenders to battling for 4th, the same way Chelsea will not be able to compete with City if they had a "fit" Haaland join their ranks or even Harry Kane as they clearly miss someone who puts the ball in the net. Your Benzema point is valid but again Ronaldo left and so did their Champs league chances no? I am saying similar things happen when Salah goes they will be back into a dogfight for top 4. | ||
