Hou did good in that trade, if Wall is healthy he is a better fit, first is huge value for a team with no assets. Morey jumped ship at a good time when all his win now moves failed and they have shit for assets left.

Anyhow, Tilman has a big bill to pay and is preparing to do so in a predictable manner. No wonder Harden wants out of Houston.

When the deals end at the same time, with basically the same money invovled it is pretty hard for me to understand why this move says the hou owner is broke. Perhaps you could explain. Wall, 30, is entering the second year of a four-year, $171 million deal that will pay him $47.3 million in the final season of 2022-23. Westbrook, 32, is entering the third year of a five-year, $206 million contract that will pay him $47 million in 2022-23. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2020/12/02/rockets-wizards-russell-westbrook-john-wall-blockbuster-trade/3803778001/

Per The Athletic's Shams Charania, the pick is for 2023 and the protection on it is as follows: 2023, lottery; 2024, top 12; 2025, top 10; 2026, top 8; thereafter becomes two second-rounders. Tilman is clearing away as many expenses as possible so he can pay off that loan.

you can't figure this out yourself? Wall hasn't played more than half the season in 5 years. Wall has had 87 bazillion injuries and 86 bazillion surgeries the past 5 years. Insurance pays 80% of his salary and the salary remains as part of the cap. Westbrook has played more than half the year in every year of his career. Fred VanVleet bets on himself. The Rockets are betting Wall gets hurt and insurance will pay. Great way to save money.

In like 2, 5 10 years when he's still freaking rich are you still going to be on this? I think so, something will have changed and he is rich now but you were still right that he's broke now. Hou did good in that trade, if Wall is healthy he is a better fit, first is huge value for a team with no assets. Morey jumped ship at a good time when all his win now moves failed and they have shit for assets left. I think at best, Wall for Westbrook is a lateral move. At the end of the day, I just think Harden isn't good enough on D to win, no matter who he plays with. Even if he improved or put some effort in on D, I'm skeptical that he can win the way he plays. Just another great scorer in the pantheon of "Woulda Shoulda Coulda"s like Iverson and Carmello. Exceptional scoring talent, but I feel his iso-heavy style while he sets up a hammock to rest on D just leads to bad things. I can't imagine his teammates enjoy playing with him either. Won't put in the work on D and only passes the ball if he gets hung up on an iso? It's no wonder his second option is a turnstyle of bodies who play just like him. His best chance was playing with Chris Paul, and even he couldn't stand playing with Harden.

He can win but his best shot came in the middle of the Warriors juggernaut. Dues have come from all the win now moves they made back then. They did come close once but there's a danger to going all in when you have competition that good.
