But I still can't get over the feeling all these years that Vettel's most defining legacy is ruining Ferrari. Denies Alonso (an even greater legend in my book) from winning a championship for Ferrari - twice! And then switches over to Ferrari and the terrible drought begins. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/62330316

They just can't get out of their own way. It's like watching Usain Bolt with his shoes tied together

A Netflix comedy compilation of Ferrari bloopers would be a great hit!

It's really difficult to preach about saving the environment when you and your team of engineers burn buckets of oil on the circuit and airport runway more than the average person. A Netflix comedy compilation of Ferrari bloopers would be a great hit! Alright, but I do feel like it's a very convenient time for him to quit anyway. He's been destroying the environment for nearly 2 decades, now he's at a retiring age and suddenly, this is the reason to stop? And now he's going to be telling everyone that F1 isn't good for climate change?

And now he's going to be telling everyone that F1 isn't good for climate change? That's celebrities in a nutshell. Taking the moral high ground when their stock is on the downturn. Still, Vettel has shown more heart than most sportsmen and celebrities. He's been preaching loudly on social causes for some time. Maybe he'll join some renewables-fuelled racing scene? If there is a such thing...

Hopefully delicious chaos :D With Max, Lewis and Checo needing to do some overtaking, and Ferraris starting behind George, I suspect a lot of potential for wheel to wheel shenanigans (can dream anyway).

I think that's a very harsh statement saying Vettel ruined Ferrari btw! As for the eco argument, F1 could prove insanely useful due to the bucket loads of cash that will be thrown into bio fuels when the engine regs change in 2026. These protest groups should be praising the sport rather than trying to sabotage it.

Amazing performance, 8/10ths to his team mate Hamilton didn't have DRS and bailed on his final lap on fresh tires, so gap isn't as big as it looks, since track evolution was huge after all the rain. That being said, it's looking to be a very exciting race with a lot of cars out of position on a track where it is very difficult to pass. Could end up with a train behind Alonso/Hamilton, and then Russell trying to 1v2 the Ferrari's.

Masterclass from Ferrari giving Leclerc hard tires and letting Verstappen get the undercut on him on mediums

"Everyone who has bolted on hards are struggling and losing time... What if WE try the hards?" Sometimes I wonder if their strategists are just straight up braindead. Harsh, but my god how hard can you throw every race you are in? Edit: hahahaha, they're boxing him again! It's looking like P6 now, when it should have been an easy P1.

Leclerc has 5 laps fresher tyres than everyone and is flying on the mediums. He can safely go until ~55th lap and swap to softs. Ferrari's strategy: We pit and put hards. Then we lose everything. THEN we pit again for softs. And this is our best track of the season, too. LOL. Leclerc should really be looking if Hamilton is going to retire any time soon.
