Walker should have played left back for me or at least right back and switch Danilio to left back, Laporte was awful offensively and kept losing the ball all the time. Laporte as left back is kind of a Pep thing, as far as I can tell. He likes to be able to switch to 3 defender system at will, so he often plays a CB-capable player on one flank.

Interesting stat: Nottingham Forest have eliminated the FA Cup holders on five of the six previous occasions they’ve faced them, including Arsenal at this stage last season.

Last 15 minutes was hoofball into the box... The main reason is the bad pitch. Both teams were not capapble to play 1v1 with ball. Everyone with ball avoided every 1v1 situations. Sane had one (?) success of ~20 tries. Mane was completely lost if he was with ball. Which means long balls is the best because they all could run without ball which they did mainly. Very nice tactic to weaken Liverpools power.

It's like he's targeting some special "Crystal Ball" award, not the Golden one =| I'd say City were more motivated yesterday. Ferna and Bernardo played excellent game, Aguero managed to score a keepers goal. On the other hand Liverpool attacking trio made almost nothing in 2nd half aside from goal.

When an offside is given its given from where the offside player is at the moment the pass is played, so when Mata was fouled after the pass the offside should already have been given, no? People to busy watching Chelsea play Forrest :D

Atlético vs Sevilla is going to be interesting. They are #2 and #3 and both need to win to keep Barça rhythm Also, I'm curious to know if Real Madrid will keep sucking.

Edit: 0-2 now, so I guess the distrust was somewhat justified.

I think the match had one of the weakest Liverpool lineups I've seen them field in any competition in years. I feel a bit bad for dropping a traditional competition that easily, but at the same time contesting UCL and PL is more than enough considering the opposition in those.

Plus it is two defeats in a row, it might cause them bit of mental issues who knows. Confidence rocked? Maybe not but we shall see. Next up is Brighton for them though and then Palace so if they could get 2/2 wins their then they will be fine.
