That feels so crazy. Even if you totally disregard the harm done to human beings, there has to be some easier way to commit economical fraud. You don't have to get murder charges and start a country wide manhunt for some petty monetary gain.
If it really is just stock manipulation, the guy doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed.
