Also it's up to the other teams to get better. BPL teams have the same economical power as Real/Barça/Bayern, and something tells me next season they'll be more serious contenders. The Italian league might come back to its former glory too with Milan getting new investment and teams like Napoli getting better and better. On the other side, Barça is at the end of a cycle, Bayern has a few old guys to replace, Atletico will not keep up forever (especially if Simeone leaves), so I wouldn't be so pessimistic about the future of the competition!

Real just getting the most out of there big guns likes Ramos/Ronaldo/Modric but they are coming to the end too, might be a power shift sooner or later in terms of consistency anyway. Juventus the other club who are solidly making themselves a steady team as well. Very solid defensively, and some top talent going forward like Dybala and Higuain on his day is a worlds top striker. They if they keep there manager and add a few more could really push for the champions league title. This season they could do it as well to be fair. Barca and Bayern seem to be on the way down though. There good players getting old very fast, Bayern still seem to not have found replacements for Robben and Ribery. There defenders get injured alot and they are still playing Alonso week in week out at the grand old age of 100 xD Barca are not the same unit at the back and in midfield, not replaced Xavi or Iniesta yet and the back 4 has not been the same since Puyol retired, add in some mediocre performances from MSN and they look very average. A good old power rank next season might be due i think...just to put it in fun terms :D

On the one side i can understand that Bayern feels like the ref is to blame (although Real was all in all the better team in my eyes). On the other side it's amazing to see how all Bayern players and officials loose their shit when it's finally them that get cheated and not the other team. They have had way to much luck/calls in their favour for centuries. Should make some of them think twice before saying all that typical bullshit when they win a game due to ref giving them an advantage

The Ref decided who should be in top4. Countless unreal ref's mistakes.

So before the wrongly called yellow-red from Vidal we had Vidal not given a correctly yellow-red in the 48th minute AND the second goal from Bayern an offside goal. How the heck can Bayern fans, board and players call that the ref cheated them when he was the only reason Bayern even had a chance to advance yesterday? That's so ridiculous.

I mean, Vidal gets the foot first, then the ball. http://imgur.com/LzlOTNH

In another piece of news, Neuer broke his leg somehow and the season ends for him.

They were both going for the ball, and the fact that their feet touched doesn't mean Vidal was tackling the player. That was a natural motion for the foot kicking the ball, which it did. Especially as, rewatching it again, you can see that he was there first, and it's Asensio essentially hitting Vidal's foot, not the other way round.

I can see a free kick given, no probs. 2nd yellow seems very harsh even if he was already booked & warned. As far as I've understood, Lewandowski was also denied one breakaway due to a bogus offside call, which evens out at least something from the 2nd goal offside. Overall, I'd say at 1-2 Bayern had been quite fortunate with the ref, but probably still within reasonable boundaries. However, after that the reffing swung way heavier to Real's side.

The logic goes like this: Wrong decisions favoring Real: 4/5/6 (Casemiro not sent off (twice?), Vidal second yellow, 2nd/3rd goal from Real offside, possibly a wrong offside on Lewandowski denying a clear chance) Wrong decisions favoring Bayern: 2 (Vidal not sent off the first time, second Bayern goal) 4/5/6 > 2. Irrefutable maths. Maybe a different comparison: A team loses 3-2, with a player (lets call him Mario Gomez) on the side of the losing team scoring 2 impossible goals while also missing 4/5/6 sitters. Do you a) praise Gomez for keeping this team in the game? b) lambast Gomez for being the reason his team lost game?

In another piece of news, Neuer broke his leg somehow and the season ends for him. How is that offside? You can clearly see Müllers foot is closer to the goal. The talk about Vidal getting sent off is stupid, he should have been off much earlier. The same applies for Casemiro and that he was not sent off in the 80th was shocking: https://streamable.com/zmicn edit: Correcting this as I wrote this stupidly. At the moment of the pass müller is closer to the goal than Lewandowski, but the ball isn't so it is offside. However this is very close, the ball is also not visible to the linesman and doubt goes to the attacker, no idea how anyone can think this was an incorrect call.

Plenty of teams that can beat United, especially as United are still splitting their focus between the league and the Europa league. One of those teams is ajax which have been hitting peak form (sadly) at the best time possible. They are in the same position as United, but point loss against psv (*fingers crossed*) during the weekend may make them shift all their focus towards the Europa league in which case fatigue will not affect them at all. I think Mourinho gave up on 4th in the league they need huge miracle really as they have the hardest fixtures left of all the sides in the top 7. Anderlecht tomorrow home Burnley Away (who lost 2 games at home all season) Man City Away Swansea home (fighting for relegation future) Semi Final Europa Arsenal Away (fighting for top 4 as well) Semi Final Europa Spurs Away Southampton Away (easiest fixture left) Palace Home (Palace might still be fighting relegation) I mean thats a tough run of fixtures as Burnley whilst probably safe is still a tough place to play away from home. Now he rested Ibra vs Chelsea, straight up rested him but he found that he actually has a good front pair in Lingard and Rashford so be interesting to see how they set up on Thursday. But i would think the calibre of player they have at there disposal should be more than enough to get through what is left. Avoiding Besiktas in semi final is the one i would say as they are just mad xD
