Can you guys stop b*tching about referees? Seriously, I'm a Barça fan but talking about UEFA conspiracy and corruption is just retarded. Can we stop analyzing games from bad referee decisions and instead focus on what matters?
Do you guys really believe Bayern deserved to score 2 tonight before over-time? I'm very disappointed with what they did tonight actually, the 2 goals are very random and I think Madrid did good containing them, although they didn't play really well.
If we start talking about ref decisions, Vidal should have been sent off before the 0-1 and then it would have been over. Then yes, Casemiro should have gotten a red, maybe, but giving a red + a penalty is a hard call to make and we would have as many people complaining about how harsh of a decision it'd have been as people saying it'd have been deserved. Then Ronaldo's goal? Please, 0.2s after Ramos kicks the ball, he's not offside anymore. We have ultra-slow-motion to judge, but side refs have nothing but a split second to decide. The offside rule was created to avoid strikers camping, not to punish plays like this.
If anything, Bayern fucked up in the first game by not scoring that penalty, getting that red card, and then not having the soul to push Madrid in the second leg. Madrid could have finished it in the first game, and I don't even think they played good in either game... Again, coming from a Barcelona fan. It hurts a bit.

I'm just hoping for video next year, the technology is here, it will only be needlessly suspicious if they keep delaying it. With video would not have gotten to overtime, cause no penalty and Vidal second yellow at 48 minutes. And I would give more credits to Real players, it's win win. It was still a nice game, all players deserved to be there.
No one seriously said Real or Barca bought the ref. Saying the ref had a big impact on the result is true and annoying as a neutral who just wants to see a good game.
Besides, all Bayern's backline voluntary goes away from Ronaldo so he's offside and do it succesfully, saying it's not the spirit of the law is a ridiculous argument here. No way he has the time to control properly and shoot if they did not purposely go away from him.

focus on what matters? the referee is the most powerful person on the pitch, and he had a dreadful performance.

Why are we not allowed to bitch about referees. It doesn't matter if Real played better or would've had a good chance to win otherwise it's still some terrible decisions from the ref and a bloody shame there is no video ref yet.

It was one of the best games in CL, cause the two teams were very even in both games before the red cards.
What i dont like is the bitching from Bayern. It's always the same even in the Bundesliga if the referee doesnt decide for Bayern they always cry and try to get their ref bonus back with media and others in higher positions in dfb. And if they benefit it's always fine and the ref did a good job. If Bayern would just stop this attitude i would like them more, but now they cry again... but they also got lucky with not getting second yellow and the penalty and got 2-3 decisions against them later, so it equals out. They should stop crying and just admit that Real Madrid played better this time.

For example Timo Werner a player from RB Leipzig made a blatant dive and cause they were first after the first half of season and Bayern fears their financial power, they made clear the media attacked the player so hard, that as a young player he couldnt concentrate on football for 2-3 weeks and refs wouldnt give him some penalties again. But Robben made so much dives in his playing history, famous his one at the national team and if he does it, it's not bad it's good. It shows that he wants to win and so on... and they even defend him.
*Edit: To get Video for backing up decisions or clear many wrong ones is long needed. The dives should get 3-5 playday bans if they are so obvious as they often are and players will maybe stop doing them so often.

Referees get paid by the media to make controversy decisions in big matches like this so that they can attract more viewers. True story.

As a BVB fan, I hate Bayern as much as pretty much anyone.
That said, if you think Real outplayed Bayern and deserved this win, you're out of your fucking mind.
The referee 100% for a fact decided this game. Two offside goals and a yellow->red that wasn't even a foul.
This isn't a discussion. There is no argument. The referee ruined this game and Real did not win this game at all.

Just a couple of hours later, across the ocean in the NHL, Montreal scored a goal while both of the teams had 6 men on the ice(1 more than the allowed number). NHL has video replays and 4 refs, goal was allowed... So video replays or not, mistakes will be made.

"Mistakes will be made" is a really lazy excuse for this kind of thing happening.
But go ahead, just be lazy and resign yourself to accepting this in the sport. That's a great way to push for improvements to be made.

No, I am just being realistic. I mentioned this, because I see many people here thinking that video replays are the magic pill that will cure everything, the golden hammer. No it will not. At the end of the day people are making the decisions and people are making mistakes.

Always sad to see even teams play an uneven game due to referee mistakes.
That said while the goals were offside, it didn't look that bad to me. 1st and 4th were legit, 3rd deserved a goal anyway. 2nd felt like Bayern could have dealt with easily, maybe they were trying to do the offside trap...
Main talking point should be the sending off imo, not the goals.
[Edit]
Meanwhile, Jack Wheelchair is back again. Ay shit luck. Hate when injuries ruin the careers of talented players. Wilshere, Diaby, Pato etc...

Real outplayed Bayern yes and ref screwed up way before those bad decisions. Keeping Vidal on the field for so long was a atrocity.

At the end of the day people are making the decisions and people are making mistakes. You're totally right. The video isn't going to solve much. Say there's a foul made on a player from team A but the referee doesn't see it, then team B counter-attacks thanks to it, scores a goal that's not offside but ref says it's offside. Then they request the video, and they validate the goal. Team B is happy, the goal was legal. But not if you go back to the first foul that lead to that goal. The video will just push back the whining to previous plays. Also it doesn't work for every situation. It definitely won't deal with first yellow cards or players getting injured from a bad foul, which are just as bad as allowed/disallowed goals.
Also it's just tiring to sum up games just by ref decisions. Every game has bad decisions, it's just that these games are the pinnacle of football games and a lot of people watch them. If you blame the ref all the time, you just can't enjoy games. I was 200% against Madrid, yet the ref didn't ruin it for me. If anything, it created drama and made the game super epic. I really enjoyed watching that game even if in the end, Real qualified.
Real didn't outplay Bayern, they didn't play great but they survived and when over-time came, they were much better. Bayern players can only really blame themselves for screwing up. This Real isn't super impressive, at least they weren't for these 2 games. A good Atletico or Juve seem superior at the moment.

The video will not solve everything, but it WILL solve some mistakes. If we can have less mistakes, i'm for it. Just keeping in mind that it will not be perfect anyway.

To be honest, I'm tired of Champions League. Always the same 3-4 teams in semifinals, always referee complains, etc.
I miss the old days of the tournament.
