Also Kroos is so overrated, every Real move starts with Modric. Same with Barca, Busquets is their most valuable man as demonstrated on tuesday.

You will notice that when Real plays without him.

How much have Spurs improved in the last couple of years or is it really just United, Arsenal, CIty (and Chelsea last year) are all shit right now? edit: I'd say a bit of both. I probably should have checked points but I went with wins instead. Going back to 2011–12 season forward 20, 21, 21, 19 ,19, this year 21 so far. So just looking at number of wins it looks like they haven't improved at all. They are the yard stick everyone else has dropped below? Bundesliga we're gonna have not just a Derby but possibly one of the most important games of the season in the relegation race between Hannover and Braunschweig. So hyped. Now to survive it in the stadium ![]()

Enjoy the game You're comparing full seasons with this one when they have 6 more games to play. That's a big difference. Anyway, they were still bad in Europe and more importantly they're building a new stadium so I don't expect them to have great results in the following years. Arsenal's troubles really started with the new stadium.

Also, personally I've always felt that goal difference is a good indicator of how good a team has been. And then Tottenham is currently at +44. Last season they got +34, but the two seasons before that, they had +5 and +4 - being top 6 in both seasons. If they manage to hold on to their players before next season I can see them be a legitimate title contender. Chelsea looks too good to lose 7 points in 7 matches, but Tottenham has been the best team in 2017.

I want Yanited to be that team as they are a huge draw and Mourinho can work his magic to persuade him, then overnight Spurs become very average again. They have done very well to coach through a Harry Kane and scout and find Alli, but they now get a huge test to keep them whilst financing bigger things ala Stadium and giving the wages to these players to keep them. Who cares how much United throw at Spurs for Kane or anyone else? They won't be sold domestically, guaranteed. After Berbatov, Levy will never sell to a domestic rival again. edit: same goes for those crazy tabloid stories about Pep wanting Dele, Rose and Walker. Don't make me laugh.

I hope Spurs can keep ther players and maybe even strengthen. I don't want them to fade away again because I want there to be 6 big teams in the Premier League. If there 6 big teams we have 6*5=30 big games. If they fade away again we are down to 5*4=20. Maths is the only reason I like Man CIty becoming a power in English football. 6 big teams is just better. Of course this relies on Liverpool and more worryingly at the moment Aresnal remaing big teams too.

I agree we need the PL to be interesting, unfortunately Chelsea managed to comfortably take the first place early this season. Bundesliga and serie A are one-horse races, ligue 1 is very close to it and la liga is a two-horses race with an occasional challenger. BPL is our only hope. Maybe the Chinese consortium who bought Milan can contest Juventus in two seasons.
