Field hockey. there is a rolling substitution system and generally when players get sin binned (yellow card or 2 green cards 5mins, one green card (2 mins) - International rules) they pretty much rush off the field, thats more of a culture thing though. Same for injuries, but again this is all possible because of rolling subs. There is no excuse to stop play as you have no excuse to be short because of an injury.

Doesn't field hockey stop clock for penalty corners?

He asked about sin bins, that did not invole some kind of breaks. Taking a penalty corner is part of the game. Just like taking penalties or free kicks is a part of the game in footy. I dont think anyone has an issue with those kinds of delays. I mean if thats your criteria there is literally no contact sport that doesnt involve some kind of stoppage. If that was his question, it would be a stupid question. I dont think he was asking a stupid question. The difference is waddling and trying to waste time doesnt work because the clock is stopped quite transparently, the lack of transparency in fotty stoppage time is what bugs most people. So generally everything is happening pretty fludily in field hockey.

It's a relevant question, because obviously if you have temporary suspensions without stopping time when ball is out of play you will really incentivize delaying as much as possible whenever you're a player short which you really don't want. It wasn't about fluidity. Yeah and thats the question i answered. i dont see the confusion here.

Active play: • Interfering with play • Interfering with an opponent • Gaining advantage I think Sevilla vs Barcelona where Messi shot a goal because Suarez (~3m offside) avoided ball contact actively (intended) and interfered the GK (unintended). Otherwise the ball would have hammered Suarez.
