Not to mention it gives lesser fit teams a chance to catch their breath, and breaks the pace. It needs be done by separate (panel of) refs. I'd rather have these kind of pauses for lesser fit teams than the ones they currently do (fouling players of the opposing team). Also this only happens for controversial decisions. Have you ever seen a football match? Controversial decisions usually have shouting matches with ref and players for MINUTES. How is a 1 (only) minute pause be disastrous then? Seriously, sometimes I wonder how short a memory people have.

Yeah I agree its not about doing it for every decision, just ones that are blatantly wrong and have a massive impact. Its somewhat subjective but as fans and neutrals the line can be pretty clear most of the time. Its common sense stuff. And he has a good point the delays in the game are still there, they just arent structured and people dont actually realise how much time gets lost. iirc they had mid half breaks in the last worldcup, wasnt such a disastrous pause now was it ? Did you get your beef jerky an bud commercial ?

I dont even mind an argument about this but your arrogant tone prevents it. Go insult someone else, douche.

Did you notice how long the vid ref takes there? The whole reason arguing about referee's decision takes too long is that arguing is allowed at all. Instant yellows for any talkback is the solution (look at rugby). I dont even mind an argument about this but your arrogant tone prevents it. Go insult someone else, douche. I actually do watch quite a bit of field hockey + Show Spoiler + (mostly the olympics, worldcup and champions trophy) infact Ive grown up playing it, and im pretty sure no one here has played as much field hockey as I have, its my national sport (even though we suck at it now). As for the bringing up the fact that arguing would be allowed, your offering a solution to a problem we arent discussing. The point was that even with the arguing you dont really notice the stall time, atleast I dont, so why would the same pauses being used to review all of a sudden break the meta to speak ? Arguing itself being an issue is a separate matter and at the end of the day if the video ref thing maintains the integrity of decisions its a very small price to pay considering whats at stake.

Not that surprising though since the team is as stable as a 14 year old teenager in puberty

Great entertainment as always from the BVB tho.

The fact that BVB is basically an above average team right now and nothing more. Gonna be interesting to see if they manage to fuck up the season enough to not even place CL for next year

Anything else would make him the dumbest person on the field - and that is saying a lot Also please no last minute equalizer. I've heard enough of the bullshit how good the team is and how much morale they have because they always come back. That shit has to stop. They are bad enough to not even be in a winning position and lucky enough to somehow equalize late. A couple good games do not make a good team. This team is not even close to being a top team

Bayern is not miles ahead and not one but all of the CL teams from last year are struggling. I expect 3 of Leipzig, Hoffenheim, Herta and Frankfurt to drop quite a bit so not too worried about CL chances of the BVB. Oh and that Reus card was bs, ref seems a bit shaky overall.

Onto the next vs Bournemouth, without Costa and Kante though. Cesc Fabregas though has been fantastic though, guy is world class! What's the popular opinion about Mourinho in England atm? He seems like the most overrated manager ever whose biggest achievement was to win the CL with Porto thanks to incredible draws.

The popular opinion is that this is discussed every second page in this thread and a fucking boring topic, because whenever it is not discussed for a page, someone has to say exactly what you just said and restart the cycle.
