Yeah the Quarterfinals will be awesome stuff, however i am not interested in many matches outside, Bayern vs Arsenal and Sevilla vs Leicester for my reasons. Other than i'd be tuning into barca vs PSG just to see the big names and Real game for Ronaldo and Bale. Disagree. Dortmund can definitely mess that up.
I'm just sad that Real´s getting second actually paid off for them, with one of the easiest draws they could get.

It looks like there's many weak teams in the EL, but by next round almost all of them will be gone. Ajax has to get lucky to make it through the Ro16, and would have to play extremely above their level to make it through the Ro8. Teams that *should* beat Ajax even on an off day:
Zenit Tottenham Man U. Borussia Mönchengladbach Roma Lyon
Teams that probably beat Ajax if equally fit:
Rostov (again) Fenerbahce Besiktas Shakhtar Villareal Krasnodar Schalke Fiorentina
Even with Ajax looking stronger than they have in a while, Ro8 seems about as far as they can get.

Hasn't this happened before?
If a betting site gave 50 to 1 odds on Arsenal winning CL would u guys take it? I probably would not take it. I just checked and the odds are about 18-25 to 1 which is crazy imo
Also Joke d'Or this year goes to CR lulz, it's such bs that I can't ever care anymore.

Not sure I trust the leak, though.

Yeah Ronaldo won Euro 2016 and Champs league, Messi failed internationally and won La Liga though but other than that it doesn't stand out. I could take arguments if Ronaldo did nothing in the Euros but he single handled drag them through several games there. Could say Greizman deserves at minimum second place and potentially win it due to how much he did for Atletico in their champs league run and also played very well in multiple instances for France.

I would have put Kante for Ballon honestly since I don't think any attackers have stood out above others and he had the biggest impact for the most impressive story/team but it's a joke that he's not even on the list. And even continuing the year, he's not budging from Chelsea's lineup while they are on a huge heater.

And he won it coming off his role as captain of the Italian team that won the world cup. Not that I agree defenders shouldn't win. I also think Mascherano should have won the Ballon d'Or in 2014, and Kanté, while good, has not had anywhere near the season in 2016 that Mascherano did in 2014.

how serious are Marca and AS? Both are saying that chapecoense and atletico mineiro (grand final opponent) are fined for 30k € and 3 points discount because both didn't attend the grand final. WTF

WTF Both are serious, but they must be using the same bad source. Can't find anything in Portuguese Google, or on Globo. I also asked my Brazilian friends and they said that the club contracts say they could be fined, but both teams were exempted for this match.

Arsenal vs Bayern 4 times in 5 years. This sounds like rigged

lol I think if real, that would have been one of the more outrageously stupid PR moves any company of any sort has ever made

random journalist realised that a team could be fined for not showing up
he/she looked up the penalty in the rule book
make bullshit article with outrageous title to attract readers, hence $$$
profit
typical media bullshit if you ask me

While bravo has been pretty sub par on City, its kinda impressive that people are asking Hart back lmao.

As hilarious as it may sound, Hart would potentially provide some sort of leadership on the back line which is lacking by a shit ton at the moment. Both Stones and Otamendi look clueless when they're under pressure.

Arsenal, classic arsenal :D

My local football club (amateurs) had to play against Heerenveen (placed 4th in the eredivisie) for the cup. 0-0 the whole game and then we concede a goal in the 87th minute ffs.

Disappointing Arsenal.
Apparently AFC Wimbledon away fans were caught singing the truely epic 'Where were you when you were us!' in Milton Keynes on Saturday. Unfortunately the fake WImbledon won 1:0.

From the club world cup, a video referee review on a not called penalty:

I don't like this system, why do you need the referee to go out and watch it on a monitor, why not just have the video ref make the call. And it reminds me way too much of reviews in the NFL and the TV timeouts that go with them.

LOL he gave the penalty, that took a long time. How many "reviews" do you get as opponent?
