I don't entirely belive it'll be duke lacrosse pt 2 in other then the damage to the program involved and the way tge school acted.. Black people should be super anxious over a program that doesn't respect due process and duke lacrosse is enough of an example to warn white boys off as well. Players names being named as a person to be punished from a sexual assault case is some serious shit when it's hard to recruit for the gophers to begin with. | ||

Really smart, careful, calculated criminals get away with breaking the law. Its always been that way and it will always be that way. The only way to stop it is to put everyone in jail. we have people who think institutions like the police and universities will make the world perfect. They never have and they never will. GAME ON! The thing is that with sexual assaults you don't need to be "smart, careful, calculated" you only need the victim to feel shamed long enough for the physical evidence to heal. Not knowing the details makes it impossible for any of us to know and the whole thing leaves you sick inside either way. A woman wants to destroy some peoples lives because she want's money, attention, is sick etc... Or these young men did something that they should be in jail for that ruined a woman's life. I've seen both sides with family members, one taken advantage of and another falsely accused by a woman now getting treatment for her mental health issues. The compromise of a "diverse review panel" is maybe the only real option? That ESPN article contains this: "The suspensions resulted from the 10 players' alleged roles in a reported gang rape that occurred on Sept. 2, only hours after the Gophers' season opener against Oregon State in Minneapolis. A female Minnesota student told police that several men sexually assaulted her at a football player's apartment. Five of the suspended Minnesota players told police that they had consensual sex with the woman." Which makes me sick inside because 5 men with 1 woman is an easy way to have things escalate... | ||
