About Sosoli, I'm not a big fan of those amateur dudes throwing haymakers til they lose. Against a prospect you want to develop like Greg Hardy, why not, but that's about it!

Not sure he needs that big of a step up in his competition though, he's climbing and developing nicely in my opinion. Didn't he lose against Cirkunov last fight? Maybe against one of the veterans like Jacare or Shogun, they are #14 and #15. About Sosoli, I'm not a big fan of those amateur dudes throwing haymakers til they lose. But if you want technical striking that was not the fight to watch!

Edit: I hate when crowds boo the guy who won in a bad stoppage, he didn’t stop it, it’s the ref that needs the booing.

Bad stoppage, in my opinion, the ref should have waited for either Cutelaba falling or getting stuck against the fence first. Not really a great fight night, main card was all about stoppages, even some fun ones, but not many good fights. The main event was good - except for the missed weight part. The first two minutes of Megan Anderson vs Dumont, Brady vs Naurdiev was okay too. But so many last minute replacements or unbalanced fights.

He was unable to defend himself, which can be potential for a stoppage. Almost every strikes was going straight to his face despite the fight back. That being said, it's a tough choice to stop the fight right there, even if only on instinct, Cutelaba was trying to improve his positioning while fighting, clearly not a one way beat down. You don't see many girls have a KO punch, usually it is more like the way Felicia did it. I think Anderson vs Felicia would be a good eliminator to see who gets Nunes. On the prelim's I thought phillips looked really good. Brendan Allen also looked great on the ground against the pretty hyped Breese. This was not a great card, but I'm never going to complain too loudly when they make it free!

Yoel outlanded Adesanya in 1 and 5 and with higher efficiency. I bet on Izzy anyways so I'm happy

Some of Romero's left's look like they landed hard, but he didn't do enough. If they aren't gna go all out they can't complain no matter what the judges score. Its all about the women's fight though holy shit. Put a good enough opponent in front of JJ and its always gonna be classic, but that was next level

And then you go at some point for a fight against Shevchenko? That's the only option not involving cleaning up the division until a new generation rises.

I want to see those two run it back for sure, wjat a great close war of a fight.

In the meantime i'm gonna enjoy the fights a lot, so that's fine too. It's a way better situation than the heavyweight division, stuck in limbo for what, almost 2 years now? Ngannou deserved a title shot 100%. The winner of him vs Rozenstruik 200% need a title shot.

I agree with you on both counts. I also think we could have a few girls show up as strawieght seems to be like LW for the men, where there is always new challengers. Hw has been a.pretty bad division for a long time, you had sylvia be so boring for so long. Then A bit of fun with brock, mir Cain carwin and jds but cain and brock couldnt stay healthy and its been a slow grind since that. Here is hoping for a nee crop but I think there are only so many.humans that are the size you need to be, to be HW but are not already in another sport at a high level.

Pretty decent card yesterday too in Brazil, Not the craziest fights but some good old brawls and slick ground games in a few fights. + Show Spoiler + Lee with the tap out into no tap out though, made me laugh!

You have Ngannou and Blaydes as young prospects - even if Blaydes can't seem to do anything against Ngannou and is therefore blocked behind him - Rozenstruik is promising, and you still have Volkov who should have been in the discussion if not for that last second mistake against Lewis after 14 minutes and 30 seconds of dominance. Pretty decent card yesterday too in Brazil, Not the craziest fights but some good old brawls and slick ground games in a few fights. + Show Spoiler + Lee with the tap out into no tap out though, made me laugh! Yes it is better but still one of the most shallow divisions, most of the undercard type heavy weights are not at the caliber, or even close to that of the fighters of other weight classes. + Show Spoiler + I agree, and surreal with the no fans and stuff. Burns needs a another step up because even at his age Maia is great. And then "do Brox" DAMN! I Lee is no slouch and he was just getting walked down and owned on the feet! Now that he is added a bad ass striking game he is a scary scary man, I doubt he will get a title shot but I do think he deserves a top 5 opponent. I would make him in the favorite in a mcgreggor fight and if he wasn't I would be slamming down lots of money. And to lee's tap that was funny but I actually think he didn't know he did he looked right confused when the ref told him to watch the video. I wonder if he was basically already out, I've been chocked out before and I think your body still works a little after your brain is done processing stuff or something because that was a clear tap. Either that or I'm giving him way to much credit and he just picked a really dumb thing to lie about!
