In the case of badstuber everyone that knows him says that he is absolut world class. There is a reason that after being injured for two years he went back to playing 90 mins for bayern in no time(before getting injured again)
He is better than the average Bundesliga defender of course, but worldclass? He has been injured for almost 4 years now. Who knows, maybe he once had the potential to become worldclass, but now he is 27 already and his injuries are not getting better. I feel really sorry for him, but I don't think he will play a role anymore.

Hummels and his wife have everything in Munich except hummels job. His and her family are living in Munich. They married in Munich last year. Even if Hummels stays in Dortmund until retirement, I am sure he will live in Munich afterwards.

Bild reporting €30million fee agreed for Hummels and contract talks underway. Oh boy, the clear out is happening before the summer my information was off
Seriously though, having Boateng and Hummels playing week in week out with Ancelotti teaching them how to defend is going to benefit Germany in the long run.

Ugh, fucking sucks. I hate to see one of our best players leave to Bayern - again. Not gonna be too mad at Hummels but rather thank him for the years with us. And i can still hope it's all wrong and he stays

Who said that? His teammates at Bayern and Germany. Well duh..., they will say "Hmm, Holger is an average defender but we like him at Bayern."
Do you know when you can label a player world class? When OTHER people (not teammates or such) call them worldclass. I mean it's as parents saying "my children are special". DUH! Of course they are for you.

ManC wins CL (and not top4 in pl) and Liverpool wins EL. Does it mean England will have 6 spots in CL next year? Not sure what Pep is doing in that case when we see ManC vs Bayern at grandfinal^^

6 places is not allowed, if that is the case what happens, whoever finishes 4th will not be allowed entry into the Champions League.

Its like when Spurs got jipped when Chelsea won Cl after not finishing in top 4. Also overwhelming proof that EPL best league in the world and harder to win than Champions League.

It's a bit like the tv deal in the primera division where RM and Barca profit but the rest of the league loses out. Bayern sucking dry their competition is good for them but leaves the league as a whole worse off.

So if Leicester wins the EPL, will that be the biggest thing ever to happen in football?

i'm all for Tottenham winning this EPL... they're the most exciting young team comprising of English men to ever do well in the league ever since Alex Ferguson's boys in 95 ...

'biggest thing' is more subjective/depends what you're estimating, but 'most unlikely', I think it might be.
when bookmakers offer 2000:1 odds on something, it's basically considered outside the realm of possible choices. It's actually really funny; Leicester and Aston Villa both had 2000:1 odds before the season started.. I guess one team is slightly happier with their season than the other.
I think Greece winning the european championship had 200:1 odds- so this was considered one tenth as likely as that - which was already one of the bigger upsets..
I've seen Hellas Verona winning Serie A 31 years ago be compared in unlikelihood, but I didn't watch that myself.. I think as far as any of the top 5 leagues for the past 30 years goes, Leicester winning is most certainly the biggest upset.

I would be sooo excited about Tottenham possibly winning if not for Leicester being the team they have to beat. They've also been the best team in 2016, and arguably have the highest peak level of any PL team. Sadly (for them), the start of their season was kinda crappy.. But if they manage to avoid selling their top players, they should be one of several legit title contenders for next season.

There's a lot more money in football today which makes this kind of thing so much more less likely today. People in England have been comparing what Leicester City have achieved this season with what Nottingham Forest did in the 70's. Nottingham Forest finished 3rd in the Second Division 1976–77 and getting promoted won the English top League first time round in 1977–78 season. Then won the European cup in1978–79 and 1979–80. This is an incredible feat and it's hard to imagine any European side going from been a 2nd tier side to dominating Europe for a couple of years today.
The fact that there is more money in football today and the feats of teams like Nottingham Forest or Hellas Verona (I didn't know about that. I'm no Italian football expert) in times gone past are far less likely to happen today does not detract from how amazing they where. We just have to remeber that it's a different world and it's very hard to compare the football world of today with what happended back then.

I thought Atletico feat was hard to surpass then. You remember how la liga was before... Real Madrid 100 points with Mou, Barcelona 100 points with Tito, Guardiola barça... that "dark ages" when Barcelona and Real Madrid only loosed between them in all season and most other la liga teams when in huge debt, including Atleti.
And then Atletico winning la liga ( +10 years after Valencia won it). It was really awesome. Holding that two monster 38 weeks with less players to rotate.
But Liecester can be biggest thing, yes

Atletico becoming competertive with Barca and Real is just great for Spanish football in general.
