Also I would never give seeds to teams becase they are the strongest or have a great history. All should fight for the right to be there, and if a fan favorite fails to do it, well they can try again next year.

After that we should keep the national leagues and do a Playoff for 2 or 3 places every year between the champions of all the national leagues. Currently the top 20 is as follows 1 Real Madrid 2 Bayern München 3 FC Barcelona 4 Atlético Madrid 5 Chelsea 6 Benfica 7 Paris Saint-Germain 8 Juventus 9 Borussia Dortmund 10 Arsenal 11 Schalke 04 12 Valencia 13 Manchester City 14 Zenit St. Petersburg 15 FC Porto 16 Napoli 17 FC Basel 18 Bayer Leverkusen 19 Sevilla 20 Manchester United

Instead of some arbiterary I think these teams deserve to be there ? Yeh i agree, FC Basel, Schalke, Valencia should all be in a top 20 super league On March 18 2016 01:15 Salteador Neo wrote: While that is a decent list to start working from, I agree with Rebs. Sevilla, Porto and Napoli would deserve to be in the "European League" much more than Everton or Spurs. Also I would never give seeds to teams becase they are the strongest or have a great history. Porto qualify every year but this year they are poor. Napoli have not been good since losing Cavani in Europe anyway. Sevilla do well in Europa league i guess but i put them to battle it out with others to get into it. The likes of Everton and Spurs get in it due to what they are doing now in England however i am all for putting them into the qualifier play off types to battle into it.

I dont like an international league, I prefer what CL is doing (Groupstage & single elimination).

Well I haven't checked but I would bet Napoli and Sevilla have more EL/national trophies and CL/EL appearances than Everton in the last 20 years. Also I would favor them if they were to play the english club. Hell I think Sevilla would beat them consistently. But as I said, discussion is pointless because no team "deserves that right". There should be some bigger competition (let's say they would skip CL for a year) to decide who qualifies to be in that top 20 elite teams. Then every year the bottom two or three teams in that elite league would "demote" to their own national leagues. The rest would have a CL type of competition to choose what two or three teams enter it each year. That's how I see it at least, makes it kinda fair. I have to admit that it is very unlikely, in the basis that there's no way they are gonna skip CL and there's no room for more games. The schedule of games is already super tight. If there is such a league, it's probably going to be made by some dudes hand-picking names from a list because of their history and marketing value and other bs. That way, bad teams like Chelsea or Liverpool will be favored over good teams like Sevilla ![]()

I dont think Everton, Tottenham, ManU and Chelsea would win against Sevilla or Valencia in their current state tbh. And to be fair we will probably see how Liverpool plays against a spanish side in EL soon.

Add in Liverpool and Spurs beat man city "easily" (4-1 and 3-0 respectively) then i think i would stand up to that. Also Valencia are in danger of getting sucked into a relegation right now. So i would easily back all of those teams to beat Sevilla and Valencia yeah. The only way this league works is if the leagues they play in they do not exist and they play once a week inside this mega league. You can't play it alongside another league, you can play along domestic cup competitions though but this mega league would have to be the once a week games. On March 18 2016 15:57 ZeroChrome wrote: A superleague is a terrible idea anyways. So many clubs even in the top leagues are already weak financially, just imagine another league with clasico tier matches every day siphoning even more money away from national leagues. So many clubs would disappear, taking away all the things they do in their community, jobs, urban decay from their empty facilities etc. Yeah the big reason it wouldn't have any English teams in is that the premier league would throw enough money at any club not leaving English league.

He said what he said you and you said what you say He said these teams in their current state are not very good and would lose. He didnt elaborate why, but he doesnt really have to. That has nothing to do with City beating Sevilla and Liverpool beating City therefore Liverpool > Sevilla logic. Nothing at all. Its not even remotely the same. You just pulled an analogy from nowhere and if anything putting words in his mouth.

Rosenborg won the norwegian league last season, far ahead of molde. molde beat sevilla the previous match those teams played. So Rosenborg should be in top 20.
