haha I guess if you look at it from before Yugoslavian civil war started, then yeah, Denmark winning was a bigger upset. But Denmark in 1992 was a really great team. Greece was expected to get between 0 and 1 points from the group stage and that would be it.

Or Leicester inspire other small clubs as a pioneer and set a start to new era of football where any team can win the league. Prolly 1st option tho. ESPN 30 for 30 please

nothing will ever beat Greece winning the Euro, literally nothing
dont forget the year that had Porto winning the UCL also had Monaco in the finals, it was a shitty tournament all around
That greece run was glorious

Uhh Greece winning was nice and is of course right up there but I dont rate it as thatttt much of an upset.
To me winning a knockout tournament like the Euro's has the "any given Sunday" (+ Show Spoiler +that Americans just love btw, going for it) factor working toward it.
You think that Greece team could pull of a league win playing the way they did ?
Nope. Being the best team over the course of a league season for a team like Leicester is massive because you see nearly every week they are beating the odds in alot of ways.

Greece was still an absolute shocker because they were the underdog coming into every single game, massively so in several of them. I mean, bookmakers actually had them at 250-1 odds before the tournament started - that's the kind of number they give joke candidates.

Yeah there is more chance of a team winning a Euro cup aka 16 team tourney than winning a 38 game season with the level of opponents in the Premier League. Greece played 3 group games and then 3 more games to win the tourney.

Don't worry, Leicester will choke at the end. Most likely they will lose the title in the last game against Chelsea.

honestly i hope leicester doesnt win it would force me to face the reality of how shit epl is in terms of quality atm, that none of the big clubs could displace leicester. this statement would still be true even if leicester lost the race at the last minute, but id still feel better about it. also the korean in me would rather have tottenham win with son rather than leicester win with okazaki

And then Spurs would win and the reality would remain mostly the same, except the Son factor

Best name to ever win the premier league has to be Danny Drinkwater.

A lot of discussions recently about a possible Superleague. Since the EPL is becoming something like the NBA of Europe it's just a matter of time before they deplete everything around them.
What are your thoughts on this?
What would be the system?
There are currently a lot of discussion on the Portuguese Media about this because of the question if said league would have any portuguese clubs, and if any, which?

No reason if there was a "super league" you would not leave out Benfica/Porto/Sporting Lisbon. All have pedigree and in Benfica case this season they are top 8 in champions league. Last season Porto did Portugal proud as well.
20 team league you have to put at least Porto and Benfica in, if not all 3.
+ Show Spoiler [My Teams] + Arsenal Atletico Madrid Barcelona Bayern Benfica Chelsea CSKA Moscow Dortmund Everton Juventus Liverpool Man Utd Man City Paris Saint-Germain Real Madrid Tottenham
Then i would have like these competing for the last few spots + Show Spoiler [Playoffs] + Ajax Bayer Leverkusen FC Porto PSV Southampton Sporting Lisbon Valencia West Ham Wolfsburg Sevilla Inter Milan Napoli
Get the remaining 4 places from that group of teams is how i would do it. The other 16 deserve to be in the "mega" league.

Lol rating Everton, Liverpool,Spurs (and Chelsea lel) above Seville. Porto and Napoli.
Joke.
Why not just go by coefficients :p. Instead of some arbiterary I think these teams deserve to be there ?
