He did good originally with Valencia too winning the league there but also had dream group of players but still was good.
But yeah other than that i think he is just a good stable manager to bring consistency to a team. Napoli top 4 in Italy etc, if he can get Newcastle top 8 every season and fight in cups im sure they will be more than happy with that.

actually think newcastle might be one of few clubs where he's gonna be good.
Basically Benitez adds stability but removes passion/excitement. For most clubs, not necessarily a good trade, because passion/excitement is football fuel. But Newcastle is in dire need of stability and also seem to have a level of passion/excitement that is almost detrimental. Some 1-0 victories and 0-0 draws is just what the club needs.

Okazaki 1-0 vs. Newcastle
FA Cup draw: Crystal Palace vs. Watford Everton vs. Man Utd/West Ham
Also, I wish I got to watch more Leicester games, Kante is freaking amazing, like one of the best midfield performances I've seen in the season.

Some terrible finishing from Newcastle here, easily should have at least 1 goal here. Leicester very nervy and under whelming...as usual.
Of course Kante is the best player in there team he is the reason they have all there points for me, defensive midfield master class all season

Kante and Mahrez players of the season in England for sure.

Leicester really got the breaks this game though, Vardy was probably a little offside setting up the goal, and they definitely got away with a handball penalty.

Newcastle lose again :D
But during the Summer Rafa needs to start the liquidation program and get rid of half the roster of Newcastle.
|
Leicester really look favorites to win the title. 5 points clear and their next 5 games are very winnable. Their attack might not be scoring as much but their defense is rock solid. If they win 4 of the next 5 and Spurs drop points (some tough fixtures coming up), the final 3 games between Chelsea, United and Everton might not matter.
It would be the sporting miracle of the decade really.

I'd rank Leiceister winning PL a bigger upset than Porto winning CL

Chelsea managerial target Antonio Conte to quit Italy job![[image loading]](http://e2.365dm.com/16/02/16-9/20/antonio-conte-italy-training_3420738.jpg?20160224090932) The president of the Italian FA has announced that Chelsea managerial target Antonio Conte will step down as Italy head coach after Euro 2016.
Carlo Tavecchio of the FIGC confirmed Conte, who is the favourite to be the next Chelsea manager, has decided not to renew his contract with the national side, which expires after the tournament. Source
This picture of him makes me laugh so hard. I hope the players see this and shit themselves ^_^

Oh yeah easily, winning a league as a smaller club (and one that basically went Ham at the tail end of the season just to avoid relegation) in alot of ways is way harder because it rewards consistency rather than the ability to play specific matchups well.
One could argue that Porto didnt have the benefit of teams underperforming and beat some quality sides to get to the final and Leicester is benefiting from top teams playing like garbage but I wouldnt take anything away from them for that.

I'm literally incapable of thinking of a bigger footballing upset. Its movie making material when you think about it, maybe in 20 years if no other smaller size club win the league. Or Leicester inspire other small clubs as a pioneer and set a start to new era of football where any team can win the league. Prolly 1st option tho.
