Im talking about, lets say, fergie, mou, ancelotti, etc... takes this squad, would they be able to win the league ? It's Arsenal, they are doomed to not win the Premier League, doesnt matter the players (and yes I know they won it before, but I mean in more recent times)

Yeah was great too when watching Arsenal the same side who gave Barca the best game of their season so far too.

Seville on the weekend were owning Barca for large parts of the game. They just found a way to win because.. Messi. Seville also beat them this season. Something Arsenal has not done and looked like doing for about 15 minutes. Barcelona has days where they blow out teams sure. Thats what top clubs do. They have also had plenty of days where they did just enough to win and werent necessarily super dominant just had an X factor (or 3 to pull them throughO. You'd have to watch the games to realize that though. This is the perfect example of talking out of your ass without actually having seen enough games to comment appropriately. Its rather obvious when you say things like that.

Las palmas played better than arsenal the previous weekend. They kept the pressure all the match and not only one half, and were more dangerous attacking. But I'm sure you didn't watch the awesome match of Las Palmas against Barcelona. Or Sevilla in the 4 matches this season have been awesome against Barcelona (one victory, a 5-4 defeat, and last week they were better than Arsenal too). Or Athletic victory with Aduriz hattrick against Barcelona, or Celta 4-1 victory was awesome too. Villareal loosed 3-2 but they were more solid that Arsenal in every way as a team. And there are more teams that have played better than Arsenal against Barcelona. Arsenal was a great match, but not the best team that Barcelona have played this season.

There are some serious competitive second division tournaments and they dont play CL or EL

sorry not getting it lol La Liga its clearly better nowadays, but i still find the english one much more fun, better "timezone", the stadiums are great and beatiful, all stadiums are packed with people (Seriously i cant believe La Liga has such awful attedance in most games, why is that?), the "show" itself its really well done they soldout themselves like no other league

And even better for us it's going to get even bigger and even more competitive thanks to having the best managers in the world in the league and the best talent thanks to even more money next season. Pretty sure we will be milking the european leagues talents in the summer. Barca president even said he fears the premier league more than Real Madrid due to the huge financial prowess the league is giving even the lower end clubs and how now the Spanish government have changed the tv right deals in La Liga to help rip the the income of Real and Barca.

It is all swings and roundabouts in this bone idle debate you keep bringing up when the premier league flexes its huge financial muscle showing what it can do to make a competitive domestic league due to being the richest league in the world. And even better for us it's going to get even bigger and even more competitive thanks to having the best managers in the world in the league and the best talent thanks to even more money next season. I'm not even going to bother explaining why the x beat y and z beat x line of argument is not appropriate for adults. I didnt bring the debate up. I just made a bad joke. It was an obvious troll, I even used caps. but its still fun shutting down bad arguments. There are good arguments in the case for the PL but no one really makes them. Everyone just points to "how exciting it is" or how competitive it is or how the best managers go there. and how all the lower tier teams have the moneeeeee" But the results are just not there. And please everytime you quote a high ranking official like it means something I feel like I got dumber just by reading it. That was more a slight at Real Madrid than it was at English teams. Everyone has access to European talents. Just because you have more access to them doesnt mean you are now guaranteed to be better. The funny thing about having more money is that when you spend it on talents the return is never guaranteed. Just ask City, Liverpool and United. I think if anything this season has proven that English clubs having money isnt all that impactful. Not feeling Spurs and Leicester yet I see. Like I said it definately offers the most entertainment value, and if thats your wrap great. I enjoy it too. But I cant sit here and objectively call it higher quality when it doesnt translate to Europe consistently.

Really, more and more points towards the PL money almost being a curse rather than a blessing, and it actually makes sense if you look at it rationally; Professional football is so saturated with talent that aside from the very, very world class players, there's not a significant difference between having a top 200 player and a top 500 player. Maybe PL has more top 200 players, but the constant pressure for success and getting a 'return for the investment' means that managers aren't given time to build a well-gelled team characterized by great teamwork. And having 11 top 500 players playing together for 3 years is gonna be better than just putting 11 top 200 players together. I say this as a huge PL fanboy also. I almost never watch La Liga matches, but I watch CL/EL/PL on a weekly basis. There's not a shadow of doubt in my mind that La Liga is clearly better. Not only would the top 3 La Liga teams handily win PL (no doubt about it this or the last two seasons), but outside top 3 they also look better. I mean there's no way of really knowing how the bottom 10 stack up against each other, but the upper half competing in european competitions? La Liga has been absolutely dominant for the past 5 years, and no amount of cognitive dissonance can convince me otherwise. I think the pendulum might already be changing (just like from 2005-2009 PL was clearly the better league overall); with Guardiola to City and Mourinho to United next season, together with a functional Chelsea (whoever they get), a Liverpool with Klopp, and a consistently pretty good Arsenal, we might actually get places. But right now, or for the past couple years? There's absolutely no fact-based argument for PL being a superior league in terms of skill displayed. Still by far the most entertaining though, and this season is absolute madness.
