Also, dry needling is fucking amazing. 5 minutes that shit is more effective than half an hour of massage on a lot of my muscles.

But eh ego got the better of me and I got punished. Definitely feeling it this morning lol

This was the first fail if anyone is interested lol. I think it shows I have weak adductors because my right knee is caving in pretty hard. Starting position for my back could also be better. Going to be trying out belted pulls again the coming weeks, hopefully this time I can learn how to use one

1. Since two week I am doing a high intensity squat session 2-3 days before Deadlifts 2. I cannot go running on the day before Deadlifts 3. I switched to flat shoes today and the mechanics are simply different. I don't believe the heavy squats are the problem. Running might be a factor, but it cannot be the only one. I probably should not go longer than 40 minutes though. I don't have much time to figure this out, 7 weeks till state championships. Squat and Bench are going good though.

125 128 129 130x 130 131x 131x 140 153 155 158 160 and then 4x3 squats at 190 and core work. Was pretty lethargic at the gym...pretty sure I had a two day hangover from saturday -_- Still got the work in On March 20 2017 02:59 Malinor wrote: I was supposed to do Deadlift 182,5kg x 5 today. I stopped at 170kg x 2 (I could have done more, but it would not have been wise). It has been a long time since I have had a failed session like this. My lower back is just absolutely spend before I eben touch the barbell. Last week was already bad. So there might be three possible reasons: 1. Since two week I am doing a high intensity squat session 2-3 days before Deadlifts 2. I cannot go running on the day before Deadlifts 3. My core/back felt off on saturday and only got up to 125/140, less that I was hitting for doubles earlier that week. Something probably just overworked it, maybe your core/glutes were off so you were loading your back too much in your warm ups. Could have been a combination of all 3

Squat: 162,5 x 5-5-5-5-5 Bench: 110 x 4f-5-4-4-4 Incline Bench: 70 x 8-8-10 4 sets of Lat Pulldowns Bench felt terrible from the start. Squat was fine. Still don't know why my training isn't going that great. But I forgot to mention that I am taking antibiotics since 6 days and fighting an infection. Though even when I don't feel affected by this, it probably does not help. We'll see next week. And the scale is a bitch.

bw 106,4kg (getting there) Squat: 165x 5-5-5-5-5 Bench: 112,5x 4f // 90x 8-8-8-8 3 sets of Pendlay Rows 3 sets of Face Pulls 15 minutes of robe skipping. I still try to figure out so many details on bench press (arch, grip width, where the bar touches my chest), it is really hard. I am doing very high volume right now, so the failed 5th rep@ 112,5kg was mostly fatigue, I definitely have it in me. All this experimenting with the Bench won't do me much good for the upcoming competition, but I feel I am putting the pieces together for the long term. I am gonna train the rest of the week very light for Bench and Deadlifts. Trying to hit a 5rm Squat on Friday or Sunday (I want to try 172,5kg).

To have focus feels so good. I have been messing around with running and lifting at the same time for years and that just kills your performance int the weightroom. Since I decided to compete in Powerlifting training is so much more fun. And I still get to run whenever I feel like it. People around me have noticed that I have gained a good amount of muscle during the last 6 months. My weight is around the same, but I am thinner and harder.. even I recognize this, which pretty much means it must be true.
