You know, I never thought for a second that Boozer would be a good player for us, but holy shit I never expected him to be THIS bad.

He is a triple threat, he can't defend, rebound or score. He just stands there gawking at all of his own missed shots. It's impressively awful.

Kyrie looked terrrrrible today, and I'm not just referring to his inability to score. He didn't demonstrate any ability to get his team's offense going or set his teammates up at all. Lebron looked really lackadaisical in the second half too. Not sure if he's conserving his energy on a lost cause or trying to send a message to his teammates (i.e. Kyrie).

I don't take the Cavs seriously as a real title contender for this reason. Offensively they might improve, but it will take another year and some roster adjustments before they have the defensive chops to go against the Western Elite in a Bo7.

Not that Lebron CAN'T win another title by going back to Cleveland but I don't think it's reasonable to assume he'll get it this year.

Not looking good for OKC. They have a very real chance of missing the playoffs this year. The west is insane, you can't fall behind too much. Hell even the Kings are doing starting out decent. It looks like you might need 50 wins to even make it as the 8th seed out in the west.

As for the Cavs, I'm not too worried about them. Struggling early is a good for them, since it will set off alarms for the players to not take things lightly just because they got Lebron. They'll be able to work out the kinks as the season progresses and should easily make the playoffs where they will be a massive threat out in the eastern conference.

Watching this team's offense when it doesn't run through Kobe is painful, it is not an exaggeration at all when I say that 90% of the time a Kobe Bryant shot is a better option than anything else we can get. All you have to do is watch ONE game to see that.

Yeah, the Lakers are awful. Kobe getting old, and gets gassed in the 3rd after playing about ~25-30 mins. He usually does ok before then, then starts laying down the bricks in the 2nd half in these past few games.

Let's put this another way.

Kobe Bryant shot 38% on 37 shots including a bunch of hail mary heaves at the end of expiring shot clocks tonight.

The Lakers as a whole shot 39.8% on 88 shots.

So if you remove Kobe's 14-37 you get 21 makes on 51 shots which is 41%.

No matter how you look at it, the percentages are all awful. The entire Lakers offense is terrible.
