If i had to choose between the 2 leagues though i'd have to say the NBA handles extracurricular activities much better than the NHL.

it used to pretty much be their entire branding similar to wrestling/MMA as a niche sport. Now its getting more popular and they trying to make the game more technical. of course this is a bad generalization but yea.

Big LOL @Nets fans, cheering more for GSW rather than their own team, pretty sad.

can u remove a player's salary from your team's cap if he is stuck on injured reserve ? EDIT: found this NO , u cant. http://www.forbes.com/sites/davidlariviere/2015/03/02/nba-should-consider-salary-cap-exemption-in-wake-of-so-many-injuries-to-superstars/ if the NBA permits an injury exemption then determining whether or not the player is truly injured and "injury disclosure" will become a big issue. i'd say harden wouldn't have been suspended if he kicked anyone else's balls accidentally edit: https://www.fanduel.com/insider/2014/11/12/iman-shumperts-inbound-pass-may-have-ruined-thabo-sefoloshas-night/
