its hilarious watching what the NHL lets its players get away with when compared to the NBA.

the NBA seems really, really strict.
If i had to choose between the 2 leagues though i'd have to say the NBA handles extracurricular activities much better than the NHL.

Well they let players brawl it out and then enact a player penalty but fights aren't the same in the NBA. It's mostly some intimate man on man action instead of throwing fists.

and thats with the NHL toning it down with enforcers and such

it used to pretty much be their entire branding similar to wrestling/MMA as a niche sport. Now its getting more popular and they trying to make the game more technical.

of course this is a bad generalization but yea.

So I watched GSW - Nets game and rofl, how many time can the commentators say that Iguodala, surprisingly, accepted his bench role. Whatever game I watched in the last 2-3 months, with any 2 teams, someone always mentions that.

Big LOL @Nets fans, cheering more for GSW rather than their own team, pretty sad.

can u remove a player's salary from your team's cap if he is stuck on injured reserve ?

sportscenter's NBA and NHL highlights 20 seconds apart

once the ref blows the whistle and the play is dead
one league allows a WWE royal rumble and the other league suspends you for what harden did.

i think the NBA has it right though.... over the long haul childish violence doesn't sell.
i feel bad for Harden though.

i wonder if Harden would have gotten a game if it occurred in the playoffs. i wouldn't want to be the guy making that decision.

there was a hilarious clip of a guy in-bounding a pass by intentionally throwing the ball at a player's groin. dont think he got suspended.

i'd say harden wouldn't have been suspended if he kicked anyone else's balls accidentally

Well, that is the classic problem with the NBA and their failure to police during the game. Harden is fine with his suspension because the Rockets lose that game if he gets ejected. Similarly, if Harden successfully flops in game and gets 2 FTs to win the game, the subsequent fine is still "worth". Which is why flopping needs to be reviewable and a foul in and of itself (like its supposed to be in Soccer, but refs rarely call that).
