Anyone watching a lot of NCAA? Who are the top guys? Okafor, Russell, Towns, Mudiay ? I've seen a few Duke games, so I know Okafor is basically a level above everyone else (from what I've seen). Russell is getting a lot of press lately, is he good?

noel's always been advertised as an elite defensive player. it's the offense that will limit his ceiling. pretty comfortable with wiggins roy here.

i haven't watched a lot of ncaa games outside of kentucky duke and dangelo russell's recent games. i think okafor is incredibly overrated and towns is the best big. would also take russell ahead of okafor.

Incredibly deep team of NBA caliber players. Karl Towns, who is not producing like a superstar in college, projects to be the closest thing to a star player in the NBA. A lot of the reason for Kentucky's success has been the holdovers of Big Willie Cauley-Stein (JR,) the Harrison twins (Sophs,) and the now hurt Alex Poythress (Soph.)

Don't expect an Anthony David, certainly. I don't think there's a DeMarcus Cousins or John Wall out of UK this year.

Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin's sophomore year. That's superstar production and superstar projection. Towns is not close. He might be great, he just doesn't produce like it in college.

he's obviously not in that natural scorer mode as a prospect. look at a guy like anthony davis for a closer comp

playing in calipari's platoon system will also depress your usage and stats. nyloncalculus had a historical look on this effect, and obviously this year it has been even more extreme.

Even if its against the 76ers that doesn't disqualify the dominance he displayed. Dude is the MVP right now but MVP voting pseudo rules won't allow him to win it. Just absurd level of game he's putting out there.

looking at the boxscore it's kind of shocking how negative his +- was despite the 50 points on decent efficiency. dunno what's going on with that team.

because raw plus-minus doesn't tell you much about an individual player's impact. Big reason why season long adjusted plus-minus is what you really want. Boxscore plus minus just says "lineups with WB are -14 in this game" which isn't telling us about WB himself.
