after you repair the meniscus and it tears again usually they just remove the torn portion. they dont do a 2nd repair. therefore, recovery time is not 6+ months. the repair procedure requires soft tissue healing. the removal procedure foregoes that process.

because Rose has been very careful with his knees he keeps the doors open to a possible recovery. Rose has done a nice job of refusing to "play through the pain". Guys who play through knee pain end their careers very fast. Rose isn't doing that.
