"What if I told you Chicago's prodigal son never returned?" I'm so sad as a fan of the league, even though I'm no fan of Rose's.

Guys that pound the air out of the ball just kill your offence these days. Passing is always quicker than dribbling. ![]()

but , i guess most people gravitate to catch phrase, 3 second sound bites. after you repair the meniscus and it tears again usually they just remove the torn portion. they dont do a 2nd repair. therefore, recovery time is not 6+ months. the repair procedure requires soft tissue healing. the removal procedure foregoes that process. http://www.howardluksmd.com/meniscal-tear-recovery-surgery/ " In some cases we only remove the torn piece — in general you will progress faster than someone who had sutures placed to repair the meniscus tear." because Rose has been very careful with his knees he keeps the doors open to a possible recovery. Rose has done a nice job of refusing to "play through the pain". Guys who play through knee pain end their careers very fast. Rose isn't doing that.

We're not negative because of 3 second sound bites. We're negative because of Rose's injury history and his history of recovery.

Basically we get too caught up in "draft a star!" and "we need lottery picks!" and forgetting it's not the only (or best) way to acquire a star. http://www.boxscoregeeks.com/articles/the-easiest-way-to-get-a-big-three That article is meh. Calling Kwahi and Kobe differently then Dirk is bunk, and the attempt to address that issue within the article is basically handwaving. But even then there's not really a thesis to the article. If it's just 'tanking' for a #1 pick isn't the only way to win then of course. And then it ends with some shot at OKC like they're hopeless underachievers who will never win anything again.

Kawhi was different than Kobe and Dirk but I don't consider him a trade. I understand his rationale (Kawhi wasn't preselected and traded before hand)but the categories are meh.
