HurriKane Harry struck again, this time in Merseyside I see. Andrej Kramaric seems like the real deal from what I saw today. I still need to go back and rewatch the match. How about Özil? I've never seen him playing with such confidence. Since coming back from injury he's looked like the player we know he can be. Walcott's been great too, with three goals in three starts.

He only attempted 9 passes in the entire time he was playing and completed 6. Giroud also had more touches despite playing 50 minutes less. He has been scoring a few yes but his involvement in games in atrocious. We cant afford a passenger like that against decent teams.

ok so according to scholes its under lvgs orders as to why our midfielders dont try risky passes. so i was half right about our players not having the balls to do what people expect them to do. if what scholes is saying is true then there is literally no hope of seeing a better man utd until lvg is either replaced or has an epiphany

Makes me feel not-quite-so-bad about BVB's season.

He's a great manager he just needs a year or so to build it all up. I also doubt he orders his midfielders to don't try risky passes, he's been playing offensive football since he started coaching.

I also doubt he orders his midfielders to don't try risky passes, he's been playing offensive football since he started coaching. yeah his problems with players and the media have never been due to the absence of an attacking brand of football. its more the my way or the high way mentality. I still remember cursing my brains out at him when he benched Rivaldo because Rivaldo refused to play on the lest side of midfield and wanted to shadow the striker. It was all the more sweet when he was forced to bring him on and then Rivaldo saved the game. Ofcourse this meant his stay was no longer tenable. But having followed him since then he does the same thing everywhere. Hes an energy drink manager like Mourinho. Only Mou is much better than him.

Before vanGaal (under Hitzfeld and Klinsmann) Bayern played pretty much just like most Bundesliga clubs play today. But vanGaal introduced possession based play together with the German strengths of counterattacking and pressing (it did lead to Guardiola style of possession>winning in the end) but without LvG Bayern and to a effect Germany wouldn't have had the play style they have today. Heynkes was however also a very important part since the he adapted Bayern from brainless possession play to its playstyle of today. Possession based counter attacking play(?). He practically took van Gaal playstyle and Klopp playstyle and created the imo for now the perfect style of play we have. (Similar to Real's of last year)

No one thought Müller and Badstuber could break into the first team (Klinsmann wanted to sell Müller), but he gave them the chance to play over more established players. Additionally van Gaal predicted Alaba would be a great left back (and tried to use him in that role) before anyone else. Other important steps van Gaal took: Van Gaal positioned Schweinsteiger in the defensive midfield from the very beginning. Robben to Bayern was one of the greatest transfers in Bayern's recent history which might not have happened without van Gaal.
