Totti and Gerrard - two players I respect a lot. Hey, what about Giggs and Scholes, then? And Maldini? Don't forget Schweinsteiger! edit: nevermind

We beat you 3-1 both times in group stage 2 :3 I do, in fact that is one of the reasons I started watching Chelsea more closely. It's nothing "amazing" staying your whole career in Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, ManUtd, etc. because they will always be at the very top in challenging titles and also paying wages. But Gerrard stayed in Liverpool even when it was at the very bottom.

They were more willing to buy into his system in order to make a name for themselves. Now at Spurs he has a bunch of overpaid stars who lack that same ambition. Praying to God that no more Arsenal players get injured during this international break. The first six games after the break are Man United home (probably going to be like 6-5 the way these teams are defending), Dortmund home, West Brom away, Southampton home, a cold Tuesday night in Stoke, and Galatasaray away. That'll be a fun couple of weeks. On November 10 2014 03:46 Serpest wrote: The team was complacent in the first half. Took too long for Arsenal to warm up. And Welbeck really should have either gone for the nutmeg or the far post. So frustrated. And then Sanogo instead of Podolski. Putting Chambers in RB when A) he's a CB B) Bellerin or Coquelin are (or have more experience at) RB. Just doesn't make any sense. And then Wenger sits on his hands throughout the game, hoping his tired team can miraculously pull off a save. If this keeps up, he's not lasting the season. You know what I don't understand? Why not play Monreal or Gibbs at right back, and Chambers at center back? Obviously the former two are left-footed, but at least they are familiar at the full back position. Monreal is too small to play as a center back. He's too short and too weak. We've already seen it twice this week as Aleksandar Mitrovic and Bafetimbi Gomis (and Wilfried Bony to some degree before he came off) exposed it to score match winners for their respective teams. Montero was burning Chambers ALL night. Everyone in the stadium could see that it was only a matter of time before Swansea finally got a goal out of it. I can't believe that Arsenal did literally NOTHING to help Chambers out that entire game. Ugh I feel my blood boiling just thinking about this. The Chambers situation was baffling yes. He is not the fastest player in the first place, which everyone knew, so it was surprising that he was set up as RB here. Indeed he was annihilated by Montero and nothing was done to rectify that. It's unbelievable really. Everywhere I have looked everyone said the same thing in this case, but apparently Wenger did not agree. Terrible. You know what else really pisses me off? The fact that they sold Vermaelen. Surely the lost money and pride is worth having some actual cover at center back? Surely the people at the club didn't think we could compete for anything with two center backs in the entire squad? What a joke. I mean it's the fucking Arsenal. We don't need to sell players before their contracts expire just to get by. Not when the chairman constantly says that we have a bajillion pounds in the bank.

Again Qatar supporting very questionable radical islamic groups is nothing new at all. A quick google and FIFA knows that so it is impossible that they werent aware of. They just decided to not give a fuck.

I'm happy for him. USA squad for friendlies with Colombia and Ireland MVLee got a call-up, hooray! Hopefully he'll bring a bit of creativity to the midfield. I love Zusi and Bedoya works hard, but they are pretty much "stock American" footballers - run a ton and derp as soon as they get in the attacking third. Also I think Cameron has looked pretty solid the last couple weeks. Would be nice to see him find a place in the squad. Maybe holding mid if Jones keeps transitioning to CB. Unfortunately/fortunately I think Cameron's normal RB spot is pretty locked up by the best player on the team (Fabs).

David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn has been signed to a short-term by Arsenal after impressing the coaches at the Emirates, according to reports He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club.Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset. The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime. Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal. Brooklyn’s brother Romeo, 12, is an Arsenal fan and has been playing for the club’s under-13s for a year in addition to modelling for clothing brand Burberry, while nine-year-old Cruz has been representing the club's U10s. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/players/david-beckham/11220209/Brooklyn-Beckham-signs-for-Arsenal-after-rejecting-offers-from-Chelsea-and-Manchester-United.html ![]() cheers.
