I'll post some league tables actually :3
norway's up and coming generation is legit! ødegaard and dæhli can make it for top clubs if they keep improving and don't get injured.
And according to the commentator, Ødegaard was the youngest player ever in a european qualification match yesterday (he's only 15!!). And he did well!

^15 is a bit too (much) young to start getting capps for the senior team though. Usually its best for the kid to stay under the radar and continue focusing on just becoming a better player, maybe spend 2-3 years in the under-21.
If he played well then I hope he keeps it up, but there is still a long career ahead of him. No need to rush.
He came off the bench at 1-1 vs Bulgaria, then Norway won 2-1. I don't think he made an assist but he "created chances" and played some nice passes. He seems a real talent lol. Also proves how vast the talent is in Norway though, relying on a 15 year old
They are using the U21 players from the tournament err 2/3 years ago? Where they beat England in the group stage and lost to eventual winners Spain. Was a good tournament that.
But yeah i would much rather the guy played 90minutes of U21 football for the next 1-2 years then made the step up.

Yeah, I agree. And I'm not saying he's a bad player or not up to the level its just that an environment like that will ether make him or break him... which is why I think its an unnecessary risk.
At 24, I can take everyone having great expectations, the pressures that come with it and the possible downfall when those expectations are not met and be the same guy I was before all the craziness... When I was 15 even women showing me more attention than normal would have ruined my football career lol
Yeah and have you seen Norwegian females? Oh gosh that guy is going to find it very hard to say NO I AM FOOTBALLER lol.
But yeah you have to be careful especially internationals vs teams that are not football playing teams. Imagine if he had to play vs San Marino he would get kicked off the park and that is bad for him. Injuries now in his career are very bad for his body.
ya it's been the main topic for "media-football-debates" as of late. putting this much pressure on a 15 year old - and even giving him a this extreme ego boost if he succeeds - it can break quite a lot of people. But it seems like this guy himself is actually quite smart and reflected, and he's surrounded by very smart, not-greedy family members who are very focused on keeping his feet on the ground. So basically not only is he a great talent but he's likely to make smart career choices. It's risky though, but so far the impression he has left is that he's up to the challenge, and that the fame and success is not gonna turn him into some john arne riise-cunt.
To me it seems like most players from Scandinavia (and we have a lot of those in the Eredivisie) never cause any problems or have behaviour/character faults at all. Well brought up, no drama etc. So if the guy is a down to earth intelligent player, then he'll be fine. I think it mostly has to do with intelligence anyway. Those players that derail are usually not the brightest of the bunch.
Oh and the Norwegian national team coach has already advised Odegaard to choose Ajax, so hope he comes! He'll definitely be able to develop here and get chances in the first squad very fast.
Ajax feels like the best place for any 12-19 year old future ballon d'or winner (and every other young talent). I didn't follow Odegaard. Did he play outside of Norway with the national team? How is the rights situation when it comes to youth work? I remember Schalkes Max Meyer was only allowed to play until 2200 last year because of his age but I have no idea how that is handled outside of Germany.
You will always find a few monkeys that will get provoked with childish shit like that. Mitrovic like an idiot went to pick up the flag which the Albanian players used to create even more chaos.
Stupid, stupid idiots letting themselves get provoked like that. Should have IQ tests before letting people into the stadium.
edit: looks like the game will be continued, don't have much hope in it finishing though.
Poland Vs Scotland is great. It’s the only one of these qualifying matches I've really enjoyed watching so far. I don’t know what’s going to happen next and both teams are going for it.
edit:
