But teams did bend over, you can go over so many of the "late" goals and be like, what the fuck.... the same shit that didnt work for 80 minutes is now producing goals :S :S.
The same "Antonio Valencia kick the ball past defender run to the byline and cutback that didnt work for 80 minutes would start producing goals." Nothing much changed except the psychology of the opponent and the added belief that United would gain (sure there is fatigue and all that)
But the belief is fostered by the manager, the players have to do it ofcourse. So I dont know why you keep going to that. Im not pinning it all on Fergie either so I dont get why you keep going to that. It was meant to be light hearted no need to be so defensive about it.
Maybe i came off too defensive sorry. Im just a bit fed up of people using the negative conatation that teams bent over for SAF teams, as if trying to take away from his achieivements. Seems like a lazy narrative instead of saying that he tatically played in an athletic style that wore teams down through constant pressure, counter attacking and clinical finishing (all of which can be coached) and also the leadership style that instilled a mentaility in the team to never let off pressure. Basically the wording comes across like your attributing anything but skill to SAF achievements. You could acuse me of being pedantic but its the language everyone seems to use these days when talking about him.
I don't know any sane person who ever said that SAF was not skillful... What forums are you frequenting? o.O

Iceland playing with semi-deflated balls. Cillessen just showed ref he can easily dent it 2 inches with one hand, but the ref doesn't care.

Hiddink has been pretty terrible as a manager these past few years and so far he's doing nothing right.
Martens Indi and Lens the by far worst players on the pitch against Kazachstan and he leaves them in the starting squad. It's mistake town with those 2. Soft penalty against and a goal from a corner. Not very lucky but oh well, deserved nonetheless.

Would be so crazy if iceland ended up with 9 points. But yeah, Tottenham really must be biting their nails after selling Gylfi. Also must say, even though this game might not represent it, fun to watch Iceland play these days, not the old 10 man behind the ball kick and run football we've always played.

Turkey should appoint Fatih Terim as a manager. He knows how to raise his players moral. He is a motivation master!
Oh wait...

Yeah England 9 from 9 who would of thought. Big surprise these last two match days for me was Norway getting 6 points. I guess Slovakia (aka Hamsik fc) on top of this have shown good results.
I'll post some league tables actually :3

Yeah woeful decision by Hiddink keeping those two players on, which effectively made Blind useless with those two players aorund him. I also think Hiddink got his tactics wrong too. Playing both Afellay and Sneijder didn't work, de Jong and de Vrij were struggling to get the ball into the midfield and all our semi-decent attacks came from longballs. Either play Pieters leftback and shove Blind into midfield(best option) or use Clasie(second best option), bench either Afellay or Sneijder.

I still think that international football has wasted 2 of the last 5 weekends.
Maybe when Serbia starts to actually win my mind will change

Yeah agree. And then just move Affelay to left flank (when Depay is injured/absent). He's fast, capable of producing a decent cross and defeating his man one on one.
I think we'll be a lot better with Strootman, Vlaar and Depay back as well. At least, I hope so
