you guys notice any benefits from creatine? i just got some. it says take 4 scoops for a week then 2 scoops. and you're supposed to stop taking for a fortnight every 4 weeks or something or like that. but i read forum people saying its all BS and to just take 4 (or was it 2) scoops per day every day without stopping. idk if it matters WHEN you take scoop either, i will just be taking it post workout with protein shake.

You can take it everyday as much as you want. 60g doses are not unheard of. Doesn't really matter that much when, but PWO is fine.

Maybe don't try to max out after giving blood, but drink plenty of fluids and get something to eat and you should be fine. The body is really good at regulating blood volume ifyou give it the tools to do so.

Re creatine loading and cycling are BS. There's no science that says its necessary. I take 5g in the morning and 5g post workout. Occasionally throw another 5g in there somewhere but not ever day. It's cheap as shit, even for me. Easiest way to take it is just to dump it directly in your mouth and swallow it with a mouthful or two of water since it has a habit of ruining the texture of whatever you mix it with.

Big win for the rugby team today! First one in a couple months. Might have sprained my ACL five yards out from scoring though. Trainer said it felt loose and to get it checked out and that my ridiculous muscle/flexibility was the only thing keeping it in one piece lol. Kept playing for another 30 minutes and scored. I might be an idiot.

They taste like water. Just because they look pretty doesn't mean they have flavor. I prefer to cook with roma tomatoes.

Sometimes I think the trainers just say that to make you feel better :/ They told me the same thing.

In the vast majority of circumstances, it is a bad idea to inform a victim of injury that his condition is serious in the moment, save for spine stuff mostly, but that trainer shoulda advised you to sit it out. I'll go ahead and be the debbie downer on this board when it comes to injuries; if it involves your back, knee, or shoulder, and you're over the age of 21, you should err on the side of caution as much as possible. I'll be turning 26 in less than a month, and in my 7 or so years of lifting and personal training, I've seen nearly every friend and acquaintance that bought into the "tough it out, bitch" mentality come to regret it at one point or another. I'm going to have nagging elbow, knee, and shoulder tendonitis for the rest of my life, and it's only going to get worse; nevertheless, I'd still say that I have it easy compared to some that I know. I can work around my problem areas, and most veterans end up doing that, but not without that tinge of regret lol.

That being said, some people are freaks; there are a number of them on this board. But even injury-resistant people roll a critical failure every once in a while. Just be careful out there, even when it's time to rip somebody's head off.

I tore my acl in college. I went from being a pretty fast sprinter and a guy who could nearly dunk at 5'11" to a guy who doesn't run at all anymore. It sucks. Now my knee gets swollen and sore whenever I do sporting activities like flag football.

On the other hand I was in the gym on crutches the day after I tore it and was deadlifting 405 within a month after surgery.

Would like some input. I have a history of SI joint yuckiness but lately it's been ok, only nags after some heavy squats or I do something funny. Lately though when I play frisbee I get this feeling my hips lock down, and the pain/tightness feels lower than the SI joint. My guess is it would be some kind of psoas thing but there was some other thing from an mwod I just can't remember, I feel like it had a Q and may have been abbreviated to two letters... Anyways I'm going to just look up some stuff for psoas, I've been laying on a double lax ball going right into my abdomen and "feathering" it and that helps. If it ain't one thing it's another.

Had a solid upper work out today despite cold/cough and wanting to get more sleep. woot.

Humble brag: Had to wear a tie to a dinner party on Saturday because the nice shirt I picked and haven't worn for 3 years was about to burst across my chest.

Also set front squat and all time DL PR's when I rushed to the gym to get some workout done between work travel and dinner party. Feels great. Hope I can ride this recent wave of being awesome for some longer.

I had a similar but opposite brag opportunity this summer when I had to go to a wedding and my only suit seemed to have been tailored to fit some kind of monstrous fatty. I went to the wedding in jeans.
Excuse me hun, but what is your name? Vivian? I woke up next to you naked and, uh, did we, um?

Thanks for the words of depression guys lol. If there's one thing I'm confident in it's my knees' resilience but I guess we'll see. Feeling slightly better today. Going to hit the gym today and try the stationary bike and get some blood flow. Going to try and get an MRI on wednesday or something. Trainer did the lachman test on it which should have told him if it was torn.

Just get it checked out, it is what it is and you'll recover like wolverine anyways, knowing you. If it's torn that sucks but you can still work with that. You may want to go all out on the surgeon and rehab though, I'm pretty sure I'm just straight up limited in my left knees range of motion now and I'm not sure I can increase it much more. It does affect my bottom position. I had a trainer look at it about 30 min after the injury and he was like "I don't want to say it's torn, you may have just partially tore it or stretched it but you need to go to a doctor." There was other stuff he said that gave me hope but in hindsight it was a bunch of nice words without much basis lol.

Yeah. I imagine I wouldn't have been able to play for another 20-30 minutes if it was totally fucked though and I trust my trainer.

Anyone watch the world weightlifting championships? Liao Hui just put on a fucking clinic, 166(WR)/193/359(WR) and won by TWENTY FIVE KG

Yeah because he wants to collect 6 more pay days for hitting WRS. 160+199, 160+200, 161+200, etc. Each WR is another 50k i think for him.
