I think if you were to see week in week out how much they get kicked around, shrug it off and keep playing it may help.
They will still do the odd surround the referee and such. Its really big games that its an issue. Even Real is fine in regular liga games.
But I feel personally that people whining about diving being more unsportsmanlike than sayyy just playing a dirty game oldschool style and kicking players around is completely ridiculous.
At the end of the day both forms of behavior are unethical and for the most part you will notice alot of diving and play acting is generally in response to a series of incidents where a player will just go ahead and say ive had enough and try to get there way in a relatively innocuous scenario.
I mean come on how is diving even close to more unsportsmanlike than
Best part of this incident was Ronaldo standing by himself just speechless. I was very impressed with him that day.
These things can end careers. I can relate personally I lost out on a varsity scholarship to College because my leg was broken and my knee dislocated when i would have been better of just trying to avoid a challenge and taking a dive.. Alot of the issue with diving is this sense of machismo that people seem to think should exist in football when they havent taken a kick in their lives, especially at that level.
Its wrong and unethical but its no worse than dirty tackling but people seem to be more willing to live with that. I dont know..

May God give strength Özil&co. This could end very badly.

Puyi should've slapped the fuck out of sergio ramos face. That bitch needs to learn.
i dont understand how shit like that could happen between fellow countrymen. you play in the same national team but you still push peoples faces away? man if korean players showed this kind of behaviour to each other the whole country would be raging

People from the same country being dicks to each other is kinda normal (in this case), especially with the whole Barca/Real and Catalonia divide. People from the the same club fighting is retarded though.
Anyone hear what Tony Pulis does to people who dive in his team? Fines them ^_^ Thomas Ince and Chamakah both getting fined this week and he bollocks them at half time lol. Fair play to him!
They’ll pay money for that. They will both be fined. It’s a disease. It’s one we’re almost rid of but if people do it, they’ve got to be reminded it’s not right.”
“It’s something I’m very strong on. I’ve been in to see Mike and (Thomas) waited for him to apologize at full-time.”

Made Ince apologize to the referee LOLOLOL
I don't know why the various FAs don't do this already. The NBA has already done it for a few years.
I might have to get one. I have a soft spot for the Netherlands and I love orange. Plus the best football shirts are the kind that you can wear around like a regular shirt.

Its actually not normal at all. It was the Mou effect and its lingering but faded quite a bit
Half the reason Casillas went to the the bench is because of his role in trying to patch things up between the teams that didnt sit well with the anal one.
But like, I don't think Stoke is playing unsportsmanlike.. Risk of injuries is prolly higher vs them than other teams though (just my guess.) There's a difference between playing hard and playing dirty, playing too hard, in the sense that you really commit to getting the ball even at the risk of injury (to yourself or to your opponent), to me doesn't strike me as morally reprehensible in the same way referee manipulation does. Injuring someone cuz you were playing too hard but genuinely trying to get the ball, I totally support that being punished, straight leg tackles should be instant red etc, but I don't think they're actually trying to cheat. But watching players rolling around faking an injury trying to get an opponent a red card, that is just so incredibly petty and childish that it kills my enjoyment, it makes me angry.
I don't really mind players jumping away from a tackle, losing balance and going down for a penalty claim though.. And I think there doesn't need to be contact for there to be a penalty, if someone is attempted tackled, dodges it but loses balance and the tackle never connects with the ball, then that's still a foul. So "diving" is kind of a tricky thing, on one hand you have the Inzaghi moments where it's obvious cheating, but often dives are a legitimate protection from dangerous tackles. The latter don't really annoy me - but nothing pisses me off more than football players pretending to be hurt while the rest of the team swarms the referee.
Although to be fair I've prolly never been as angry as when Stoltidis crippled Skjelbred in 2005 or whenever it was, Skjelbred was looking like the greatest Norwegian talent through all time before that and really never achieved his potential.

Lucas had a lot more control over the ball though.
