It will most likely not happen but i would love to see him a season again with pep at munich just because he seems to be a very cool dude and together with Dante they would have the best defender duo in terms of haircut.
He's not good enough anymore for that, he's old and too slow sadly.
I dont know first i though of it as a joke but if you think about it its maybe even possible.
He has 3 options, retire, which he said that he doesnt want, going to Quatar, China or something like that or stay in europe. If he wants to stay in Europe Bayern could be an option. He knows the coach really well (they even played 2 seasons together holy shit), he will not be as expensive and is still good enough for the 4/5th CB behind the young guys. In Bundesliga even i could play there right now. Also a 36 year old veteran that has more energy as the 20 year old guy after winning everything could be a nice thing to have.
Bayern already have van Buyten, I doubt they want another old defender a backup.
Van Buyten will most likely retire after the world cup. Or at least not for Bayern, his contract runs out.
Puyol is a total hero. But I mean cmon, if he's retiring from barcelona because he needs to rest, then certainly he's not gonna join the one team which is actually better than them.
Ibrahimovic did a conference for Turkey vs Sweden game.
He says "Brazil is favorite to win World Cup. They'll take advantage of playing at home. I would like to see one of my teammates(Thiago Silva) winning it."
If only Diego Costa choosed Brazil over Spain Unfortunately, they don't have a great striker.
Germany will win as long as they dodge Italy. Maybe Argentina can go further than expected if both Messi and Aguero gets momentum.
oh I also hope that Tiki Spain Taka eliminates early so that we can watch a real football.

Both Germany and Italy will have problems with their pressing style because it is F* HOT and WET

This has been thrown around a lot but of at least three of the hosting cities aren't that bad to be honest. It's the lower hemisphere, temperatures are lower than the rest of the year and precipitation isn't that high either. Humidity isn't going to be that bad in at least Porto Alegre, Curtiba and São Paolo. The other cities are likely going to be a nightmare though, but the southern Europeans shouldn't struggle too much.

Germany got some really hot places for the group stage, but the biggest problem is that Brazil is huge. Players will be playing in one place and only a few days after will play somewhere with a completely different weather. Germany for exemple will play in Recife and (if they get first in their group) 4 days after in Porto Alegre.
Germanys problem will not be the weather or the traveling, it will be the coach.
A year ago or something like that i really thought Germany has a shot at this but our coach is just bad. He has almost no rotation, does weird roster decisions and basically just copys the tactic from other guys. 2010 he was highly influenced by Van Gaals Bayern, 2012 he played like Jürgen Klopps Dortmund and currently the last few testgames were just copycats of what Guardiola is doing currently which is a fluent 4-1-4-1 with Lahm as a central midfielder which would be horrible in the national team..

We've got bigger problems than that, we haven't cloned Lahm yet for example.
Just imagine Lahm as left-back, right-back and as our DM, that would be so good :D

Schweinsteiger and Khedira are superior to Lahm in the DM position imo... Lahm lacks physicality to those two

At the moment I think the biggest concern will be injured players/players just returning from injury with little competitive games before the world cup. TBH I'd also prefer to see Lahm as a left/right back; not because I think he's better there, but because we seem to have more good players as alternative in midfield than in left/right back.

He is not to blame if he copies Guardiola's system because most German national players are from Bayern and therefore are used to it. Especially Lahm, who has been playing DM almost all the time under Pep, would have a hard time re-adjusting to his old position again. Pep tried that against Arsenal and immediately changed it back during halftime. Additionally the offensive Bayern midfield players are well attuned to this system with Lahm playing DM. Please also consider that Khedira and Gündogan will most likely miss the WC.
Besides, I agree that he rotates too little. Or let's put it this way. He likes to stick with his favorite players for far too long.
