And by 100% I mean playing with every ounce of strength he has. Doesn't matter how sore or tired the players are, it's not an excuse for the lazy shift Ozil has put in on defense.

What, so because he's a professional athlete, he has infinite endurance and can never get tired? Everyone's body has its limits, and even the most fit people would be worn out playing 90 minutes every 3-4 days while travelling across Europe.
The reason why I said he's probably not used to playing this much is because he didn't play this much with Real Madrid. He got rotated more (since they have a deeper squad) and was subbed off a lot since Real would usually be winning anyway.

He has a reputation for that, though I haven't really been seeing it since he joined Arsenal. His work rate was phenomenal against Dortmund the other day, for example.

I'm sure he cares about seeing his name up in lights for scoring a game winning freekick. Not to sure about his willingness to go into a challenge or win a header. Just look at that run he made between the defenders earlier on. The ball sailed past him and he didnt even try to stretch and get his head on it right in front of goal. Giroud did the same thing for some reason.
Anyways the whole team basically sucked. Missed Mertesacker to clear away that near post corner that RVP scored on, and imo Rosicky is absolutely vital to the team. He is the player who makes the whole team play towards the other teams goal instead of sideways, and despite being 33 his energy is fantastic. Wilshere is the same way, but obviously not fit. Vermaelen, Flamini, and Arteta weren't bad.

yea maybe the dortmund game was even more important. and the previous game vs liverpool was also really really important. personally I'd probably rank this one as #1 because arsenal couldve gotten a 7+ point lead against most of the other top contenders, their matches against manchester united are typically the most important through the PL season, and I think arsenal cares more about PL than CL this season. But this just serves to explain why Özil is currently tired and playing below his par. But calling him lazy for having a bad game just seems kinda silly to me - lazy isn't something you suddenly become or suddenly stop being.
