His left foot goes inward because of the touch he takes, his body drifts outward and the right foot drags along awkwardly because his left foot is further inside than during a normal running step. Please make a running step like that and tell me what your right foot did.
Yeah I can see now how the overstretched leg causes him to drag his foot. Still think its a dive. In any case that should never have been a penalty and West Brom got robbed,
Also holy shit dat footwork by Nurnberg's player when he was in all alone. Too bad he got tackled by the other defender or that would have been a fucking golazo.

We can only hope. Half the team don't deserve contracts and Hughton is just a moron anyway. Should have gone weeks ago.
Penalty, lucky, came from nothing, probably wasn't even a penalty. Snodgrass will miss this though.
Definitely wasn't a penalty. Glad Snodgrass didn't take it though, will probably mean Hughton keeps his job another week which will be a disaster.

I don't think it's a dive but it definitely isn't a penalty either and West Brom should've beaten Chelsea. Chelsea have been unimpressive the whole season imo but got away with it somehow.

I call it a dive when a player chooses to fall to the ground instead of being forced to.
Anyone can see that bump with the defender wouldn't knock down a teenager.

It would knock you down, I can guarantee that.

OMG Arango could not have shot that more perfectly. 1-1 Right in the top corner.
aaaaaand 2-1 for Gladbach. Own goal 3 minutes after the equalizer.
Need some goal line technology in Germany lol. The whole ball was over the line and it should be 2-2.

And now its 3-1

I going see what the pundits say on MOTD later but im convinced that not a dive :S

Why is Nuernberg so unlucky... They deserve at least double their points..

Amazing. Get a bit of luck with the penalty and start playing with some intensity for a change.
Defending is still appalling but the other team can't score if the balls on the other side of the pitch.

there's nothing dive-y about falling from the contact between ramires and whateverwbaguy it was. but yeah slow motion replay really shows that his foot is kinda trailing the ground even before the contact is made, which strongly indicates that he's seeking the contact leading to the penalty. I think you can't really give someone a yellow card for that type of semi-dive though, but it's clearly not a penalty.
I mean, even if ramires was 100% honorable it wouldnt be a penalty, this is just shoulder vs shoulder. it's kinda dirty but not super-dirty, it's a mistake by referee but hard to blame him, frankly chelsea shouldve had a free kick before wba's 2-1 goal, stuff evens out, I don't think this was THAT big of a deal.

Zlatan scored a hat-trick today, bringing to 50 the number of goals he's scored for PSG. In 63 games.
|
that is a ridiculous goal ratio
|
IMO you may or may not give a penalty for it, the ref would have right in either case. It looks like shoulder to shoulder but Ramires seems to lean forward before contact to get the foul. Not sure though, we need to see from different angles
Someone has been fooled, but that's not the ref, it's the defender. He should have known better.

The technique of that Boateng goal is ridiculous, how he was able to adjust his supporting foot on a turn like that.

Or both. I too don't want him to go to Chelsea too, it would be a step down for him. In my experience its more of the former and a bit of the latter. Lewandowski is an absolute boss.
From what I've seen he is just insanely one dimensional and aside from the occasional potshot his goalscoring range seems almost entirely pure poaching. Good for some teams I'll admit, like van nistlerooy, but not a player I want in Chels. Give us a Benteke, Suarez or Rooney any day over Lewa. Would probs save money too. Lewa will come with a price tag of like 80 million when he is worth 25 at most. In my mind he can't make top 10 strikers in football atm.
wow, pleased for benfica

That is like the polar opposite of what he is. You are dead wrong. Also, unless bvb sell him during the winter break, which I can't see happening, he is leaving for free in the summer. 80 million, my god!

Isn't Lewandowski at the end of his contract in the summer? and Reus has a 30mil buy out clause I believe.
Might be a nasty summer for Dortmund.
