The problem with him and Beasley isn't that weed is destroying their game or mentality, it's that their mentality was fucked up to begin with. At some point you have to grow the fuck up and if your job doesn't let you do _______ and you care about doing your job, you stop doing _______, regardless of how you feel about its legality or risks.
It's not about the weed, it's about caring about playing in the NBA. You know it's an automatic suspension if you're caught, and possibly more. It's really just a matter of priorities.
Read somewhere that they don't test for weed, meaning that he'd have to be taking harder drugs. Dunno if it's true though.

I think the NBA and NFL are the only leagues that really test for that.
Because they've really tried to shine up the game a bit.
Some of the things the author wrote are things that I have realized as well (as a person who enjoys the NBA more). Anyways I love sports. But even more than sports, I love the cross between sports, society, and business. Good piece.

NBA definitely tests for weed. Its why Brandon Rush was suspended a few years back. You need 3 positive tests before you gets suspended.
A quick look at the NBA’s drug policy reveals that the drug Rush tested positive for was almost certainly marijuana — testing positive for cocaine, opiates, PCP, or amphetamines results in a dismissal from the NBA, while Marijuana only carries a five-game suspension after a third failed test.
Zach Lowe is up to his usual - producing fantastic work. I found the article to be interesting and curious to see what my fellow ballers think about his points/counterpoints...

I question the whole stars hogging more minutes thing somewhat since in theory, less possessions will be used to rest and/or they'll hurt more (hi kobe, he's old though to be fair) since playing intensity SHOULD be higher.

Seriously, why do I want more BAD teams winning? As much as I hate the Patriots, I wish they won the 07-08 Super Bowl (they don't deserve 2 of the 3 they won of course). The NBA is literally the only sports league where I can look at results and be happy that the teams' records at seasons end represent the quality of those teams, and even more, that after the championship they also do.
If the NFL stops having fucking 6 seeds win the Super Bowl, and the NHL (except this year) stops having 6-8 seeds win titles, THEN I will think about this proposal.
