Yes, just in time for the loaded '14 draft too. I'm sure they look at it like this- if they can swing Bledsoe (good young asset) and picks for that '14 draft, for KG/Pierce, who are aging, and Doc, who apparently wants out, then why not? Rondo's out for the beginning of the season anyway, so if they're all gone then you legit have a terrible team and can tank, so not only is your pick high but you also have several picks from LAC as well.

Eh the rest of the team is still good enough to be a 7-8 playoff seed. I wish it was a true a rig for wiggs type team though haha.
yea i dont think so. their roster is a mishmash of washouts and rookies as it stands now. they'll have to do some big signings in the off season to fill the huge voids left by kg and pierce.

basically we're having half the entire league trying to tank to try get a chance (note, lottery) to land wiggins. 2013 season will be embarrassing. raptors to make it to ECF ??
Celtics are past their best and Ainge isn't afraid to blow things up.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them ship KG and PP and sit Rondo for the year. The tanking for the Wiggins/Parker draft is going to be epic in 2014. Sad to say but there is going to be a lot of bad basketball once January rolls around.

It's not just wiggins, even if you don't land him you have a chance at a star (although a lesser one) potentially even with a pick in the early teens. It's not just one superstar, it's the fact that there are around a dozen with a chance at being a star.
^It's too soon to tell really, most picks take a couple years to mature. While this last draft wasn't particularly great I could see it being viewed as one if Beal/MKG/Davis/Drummond keep improving, and don't forget that some players like Asik/Butler/Paul George took awhile to really seem like great picks.
Makes me think next year might be the Bulls last great chance at a title. Rose back, Deng's last year, Butler at the 2, last year with Booz (this less so but w/o him and Taj starting we lose depth, plus he scored well in the playoffs), Noah. After that if we don't score big in the '14 offseason then we probably lose Deng, and while still contenders we'd be significantly less strong.
It also has to suck for teams that just finished tanking, like Washington and possibly the Cavs, because just when they got good enough to be a 6-8 seed in the playoffs they miss the draft that's really worth tanking for. The wizards would have made the playoffs if Wall was healthy all season, and if he and Beal keep up their level of play they're playoff bound again for sure. Same for the Cavs with a healthy Kyrie (assuming he can stay healthy)+waiters+I assume Noel+Varejao. The Cats have a chance to be real good, they still will suck next year and so they have a chance at Wiggins (or another potential star) and build around MKG and Kemba. Raptors will have a good chance as well, Ujiri's a smart GM and there's always a chance that they land that top pick as well- I don't think they're quite a playoff team yet. Plus who knows, Wiggins being from Canada might convince Stern to rig the draft for them lol
The bulls, IMO, never had a real window, because Rose, while awesome, never was good enough to beat the Heat. Now, maybe Thibs can introduce a Spurs-like system for us next year and make me eat crow, but we saw the ECF in 2011.

I said best chance, not best chance in the league.
But I think, assuming Rose is back to form next season, that next season's bulls will be better than the '11 Bulls. More development from Rose, plus we have a few more scoring options than just Rose- Noah's gotten better, in the post and as a passer, Boozer has gotten better defensively and as a passer, Deng has gotten better as a shooter and as a defensive stopper vs lebron, we didn't have Butler either, who can do the same thing.
Monta Ellis has informed the Milwaukee Bucks that he will opt out of the last year of his deal, according to league sources.
Ellis, who had one year, $11 million left on his contract, will become one of the most coveted free agents on the market this summer.
Sources say the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers have interest in Ellis, although the Lakers could get Ellis only via an unlikely sign-and-trade deal.
Ellis, who originally signed a six-year, $66 million deal with the Golden State Warriors, is close with Lakers free agent Dwight Howard. The two have long desired to play together.
If Howard cannot achieve his top goal of playing with Chris Paul, teaming up with Ellis may become an option he would strongly consider.
Ellis' goal in signing his original deal was to give him the flexibility to become a free agent in his prime.
The Bucks reportedly had offered Ellis a two-year, $24 million extension earlier this month, but the offer was contingent on him not opting out of the final season of his contract.
Ellis led the Bucks with 19.2 points per game in the regular season, his eighth in the NBA after being drafted by the Warriors 40th overall in 2005.

Who will be dumb enough to pay him?
hopefully no one, but you know some mid tier bad organization will pick him up

Well the Lakers could use a back up shooting guard for sure, but offering him anything significant would be beyond stupid on our parts with all of the luxury tax issues we already have for next season, (even assuming Dwight doesn't re-sign)
I hope he isn't leaving Milwakee thinking he'll get better money on any team anywhere near contention because he's nuts if he thinks that.
That said, I think the Bulls could probably use him the most at least the most of teams I can think of with any chance of a title run next year.
